When I open the can, a citrusy, fresh, sweet-and-sour aroma of orange pulp and peel bursts out, characteristic of oranges. The scent hints at the sweet taste of the pulp, with an expectation of some acidity and bitterness. Now, let me take a sip.

Upon tasting, the moderately strong acidity and refreshing, clear sweetness of the orange spread across my palate.

Although Alani Nu contains no fruit juice, it somehow creates a realistic and fresh flavor, similar to that of fruit juice, delivering an exquisite balance of savoriness and refreshment in the orange flavor. I was surprised by how well it replicated the taste of real orange.

This is not the thick, lingering type of orange flavor, but instead, the right amount of orange flavoring and acidity persist, delivering a clear drinking experience with a fresh, citrus-like juiciness that overcomes the limitations of being juice-free.

This isn't a heavy, juicy orange flavor like those with fruit juice or full sugar, so it provides the perfect refreshing experience of a carbonated orange drink to enjoy in the morning.

The 355ml size is just right, and as I slowly hydrate in the morning, I realize I've finished the can. That's because there are no unpleasant artificial sweeteners, and the refreshing orange flavor remains consistent from the first sip to the aftertaste, without any disruption.

Even with temperature changes, the flavor stays stable. I don't think I've come across a juice-free orange flavor as perfect as this one.
