This is a review of AMP ENERGY ORGANIC GRAPE, part of the AMP Organic series released exclusively at 7-Eleven in the summer of 2017. It has a light grape flavor, but the more you drink it, the more addictive and delicious it becomes! It will be available in all stores starting in 2018.

Upon opening, the scent is unmistakably that of a grape-flavored soda, not fresh grapes but more of a processed, fizzy grape drink scent.

The liquid is not purple as one might expect, but a faintly yellow-tinged transparent color. Since it’s USDA Organic certified, it seems they avoid artificial coloring.

When you take a sip, the taste is that of a refreshing, sweet grape juice. There’s no lingering aftertaste, and it’s easy to drink with a subtle grape flavor. The strong aroma gives a sense of satisfaction, even though the flavor is not that intense. However, don’t expect a bold grape flavor, as it has more of the light, refreshing taste of flavored water.

It lacks the acidity or bitterness of real grapes, and the flavor only includes added sweetness, so there’s not much complexity to enjoy.

While it doesn’t offer any wow factor when you taste it, the natural sweetness and freshness make it easy to finish the can without even thinking about it. It may not be particularly recommended for its flavor, but it could be the most drinkable flavor in the AMP Organic series for the casual drinker.

It contains 120mg of organic caffeine, but no other energy-boosting ingredients. Due to the USDA Organic certification, it seems they couldn’t include any unnecessary additives.

The top half of the can is a deep purple, and the bottom half is silver, giving it a light and clean appearance. The grape design is not a realistic photo or illustration, but rather a silhouette, giving it a poppy feel that doesn’t quite scream "energy drink."
