This is the energy drink from AriZona, released in 2010. Despite the packaging design, it has a surprisingly fruity flavor that stands out.

In 2001, while living in the United States, I encountered energy drinks through the dance scene and was deeply impressed. After returning to Japan, I found that energy drinks were considered novelty beverages, so I established a comprehensive website in 2013 to share the true appeal of energy drinks. As an energy drink enthusiast, I began drinking them seriously again, collecting over 7,000 varieties of energy drinks from various countries. I am also active as a critic and expert, receiving media interviews.
Flavor of Arizona ENERGY
Opening the can releases a surprisingly sweet and refreshing orange aroma! Is this a citrus fruit flavor!? It even smells like it has juice in it...
When poured into a glass, it has a beautiful orange color. I was expecting a more typical flavor, so this was a pleasant surprise (*´艸`*)
When you take a sip, the sweet and refreshing orange flavor takes center stage, with hints of peach and mango. It's a citrus fruit flavor, but the rich fruity taste isn't overwhelming, giving it a smooth and light mouthfeel.
Overall, it has a fresh, fruity feel, but it doesn't linger in your mouth. It lacks the satisfying texture you often find in fruit juice-based energy drinks. It reminds me of a similar product from the U.S., FRS. It's a juicy flavor but leaves no aftertaste, making it hard to pinpoint the satisfaction level of this energy drink (^_^;)
With 10% fruit juice and a decent amount of sugar, it could have had a richer citrus flavor. I wonder if they intentionally avoided a heavy, intense flavor to keep in line with other AriZona products.
Energy Ingredients of Arizona ENERGY
Contains 200mg of caffeine, 2000mg of taurine, 200mg of carnitine, 200mg of ginseng, 200mg of inositol, 200mg of guarana, 200mg of glucuronolactone, and 70mg of milk thistle.
These are typical ingredients from the U.S. energy drink boom era.
Contains 10% fruit juice, with pear, orange, apple, mango, and other fruits.
Design of Arizona ENERGY
The can is decorated with street art, giving AriZona ENERGY an outstanding presence in stores. Its energy drink-style design makes it hard to resist picking up.
On the lower right of the can is the AriZona Beverages label. Since it replaced the previously released ALL CITY ENERGY, the design likely follows that same style.
The tab is lime green. The matching color tab was a standard in energy drinks back in 2010.
It's a good product, but production ended after about three years. Perhaps AriZona's strong association with sweet iced tea made it hard for their energy drinks to gain a strong foothold.
