The moment you open the can, you're hit with the rich, sweet-and-tangy aroma of strawberry candy. The scent is surprisingly strong.

When poured into a glass, it's completely clear. One of the unique things about the bang series is the contrast between its strong aroma and the fact that it has no artificial coloring—this colorless transparency adds an unexpected charm.

Taking a small sip, a rich strawberry scent spreads, accompanied by a sweet strawberry and peach-like flavor. The intense sweetness is surprising, given its clear appearance (*´艸｀*).

There's almost no sourness; instead, you get a continuous burst of sweet fruit-flavored candy-like taste.

Whether at room temperature or ice-cold, there's no unpleasant aftertaste from artificial sweeteners. It's hard to believe this is a zero-calorie, zero-sugar drink. As you savor it, you realize that the fruity sensation comes mainly from the strong aroma rather than the actual taste. Still, the fact that there’s barely any artificial sweetener aftertaste is impressive ((o(´∀｀)o)).

Energy Ingredients of bang STAR BLAST

Contains 300mg of caffeine, BCAAs, creatine, and CoQ10.

Compared to the previous three bang flavors, which contained 375mg of caffeine, STAR BLAST has been adjusted to 300mg, making the impact feel slightly weaker. However, achieving this level of flavor while maintaining zero calories and zero sugar—and making it suitable as a pre-workout drink—is truly impressive.

Design of bang STAR BLAST

Released in 2014 as the fifth flavor, STAR BLAST was the last bang drink to feature the bullet-style design. At the time, new flavors were rarely released, so this was a big topic among energy drink enthusiasts.

Personally, I prefer this bullet-style design because it gives off the vibe of an intense, powerful energy drink. Plus, the Stars and Stripes-inspired color scheme makes it stand out from the previous monochrome bang series, adding a special and stylish touch.

Here’s the redesigned STAR BLAST:

The front logo is now almost entirely blue, making it look less impactful… quite a shame. Since 2018, the bang series has rapidly expanded its lineup with a variety of colorful flavors, which makes this version blend in more with the rest.

However, when viewed from the back with just the "bang" logo, the Stars and Stripes colors really stand out. I actually like this side better.

The pull-tab remains the same bright orange ring tab, unchanged from the previous design.
