In 2001, while living in the United States, I encountered energy drinks through the dance scene and was deeply impressed. After returning to Japan, I found that energy drinks were considered novelty beverages, so I established a comprehensive website in 2013 to share the true appeal of energy drinks. As an energy drink enthusiast, I began drinking them seriously again, collecting over 7,000 varieties of energy drinks from various countries. I am also active as a critic and expert, receiving media interviews.
Flavor of BEAVER BUZZ ENERGY SASKATOON BERRY
When poured into a glass, it has a very typical berry color. It's not a strong red-purple or a rich blueberry purple, but just an ordinary shade.
Taking a sip, it has a sweet and sour berry flavor with no distinct characteristics. Even though it’s called a “Saskatoon Berry flavor” from Canada, it doesn’t have any special taste—it’s just a regular berry flavor you can find anywhere.
Its lack of distinctiveness makes it naturally easy to drink, and before you know it, it’s gone. It’s not too artificial, nor is it a rich, fruit-filled taste. It’s an all-around, non-juice berry flavor that appeals to the masses.
That said, there’s plenty of sugar, so it doesn’t feel thin or lacking. It stays interesting until the end due to its balanced sweetness, sourness, and fragrance. If you’re expecting a unique taste, you might be disappointed by how ordinary it is, but I don’t think many people would rate it poorly due to its standard flavor.
Energy Ingredients of BEAVER BUZZ ENERGY SASKATOON BERRY
It contains 178mg of caffeine, 1885mg of taurine, 9mg of guarana, 9mg of glucuronolactone, and 9mg of inositol.
I would have liked it if it contained even a little bit of Saskatoon berry juice.
What is Saskatoon Berry?
I didn’t know about Saskatoon berries until I tried BEAVER BUZZ.
I researched it for this review and learned that Saskatoon berries are wild berries that have been growing since Canada’s settlement era. In the 1970s, they began to be commercially produced and became widely recognized as a distinctive berry from Canada’s Midwest.
Saskatoon berries are known as the northernmost fruit, with an incredible cold tolerance of -40°C!! They are picked in the morning and shipped frozen. I had no idea about that!
By trying energy drinks from different countries and reviewing them, you can encounter interesting products that incorporate unique local flavors. For example, Japan’s Red Bull Sakura Flavor offers a taste of the country’s culture. Enjoying energy drinks with flavors that reflect a nation’s identity is one of the pleasures of trying various options.
The tab features a black top with the maple leaf logo. It’s fun to see a brand’s unique characteristics even in the tab design.
