As soon as you open it, a sweet cherry fruit punch-like aroma bursts out. This smells very promising! ((o(´∀｀)o))

The taste is a strong, sweet fruit punch-like cherry flavor with a mild acidity that makes it very drinkable. The aroma doesn’t linger after drinking, so it doesn’t feel heavy.

While many energy drinks with cherry flavors tend to become overly sour and end up tasting like acerola, BIG SHOCK CHERRY successfully avoids that and maintains the cherry essence.

Although it contains 10% fruit juice, the punchy sweetness is more prominent than the fruitiness, and the distinctive tartness or astringency from cherry skins is completely absent, so it doesn’t taste very fruity.

Since it leans toward a fruit punch flavor, you may be disappointed if you're expecting a rich, real cherry flavor. However, if you evaluate it as a punch flavor, the balance of the cherry and sugar with the mild acidity makes it easy to drink for everyone, and I think it’s very well done.

Energy Ingredients of BIG SHOCK CHERRY

It contains 160mg of caffeine and 2000mg of taurine. The juice content is 10%, which is fairly decent.

Although it seems like cherry juice, it’s more of a cherry punch, and if the punchy flavor is thanks to the juice, then the 10% fruit juice content was definitely a good choice.

Design of BIG SHOCK ENERGY CHERRY

BIG SHOCK CHERRY was released after the design switch from the old one. The flavor name is now placed diagonally, which is part of the new design.

The unique flavor image of BIG SHOCK is spot on. Cherry juice bursting out when you bite into it – just looking at this makes you want to grab one.

In the official commercial, a bird moves aside real cherries to choose BIG SHOCK CHERRY.

The bird picks BIG SHOCK CHERRY…

And drinks it until the can gets crushed. If you’ve tried BIG SHOCK CHERRY, you’ll know it’s not an exaggerated portrayal.

This tab is the same across all flavors, so there’s nothing much to say about it.

Afterwards, the cherry illustration was removed in the new design update, which unfortunately became a design with no character. It ended up being a big mistake…

Despite this, BIG SHOCK CHERRY continues to be sold, so it seems to still be popular.

As for which design is better, I personally prefer the original design from its release.
