Released in 2021, the BIG SHOCK series launched four coffee-flavored energy drinks at once. This is a review of one of them, BIG SHOCK COFFEE IRISH COFFEE.

I purchased it during my 2023 trip to Prague. For some reason, it was priced higher than the usual energy drinks, and I found myself wondering if it could be successful with that price point, especially within this coffee series.

Upon opening, a sweet and rich café latte-like aroma spreads. I thought, "What does this taste remind me of?" and realized it's Irish coffee. Hmm, it doesn't have a particularly distinctive scent—just a typical sweet café latte vibe. Let's try it.

When I take a sip, I get the creamy sweetness of milk and sugar, a moderately bitter coffee flavor, and a caramel-like richness. It's a café latte, or more like a caramel latte, and it's really delicious.

BIG SHOCK's official description says they "also created a whiskey flavor," but in reality, I don't detect any such distinct flavor. What I do enjoy is the smooth sweetness that lingers in the mouth, the deep coffee flavor, and the subtle bitterness of the caramel. It's a rich caramel latte flavor.

BIG SHOCK COFFEE IRISH COFFEE has the most luxurious taste of the four flavors released in 2021, and even those who prefer coffee without too much sweetness will likely be satisfied.

Among all the coffee energy drinks released worldwide, this is one of the top in terms of taste.

It contains 112.5mg of caffeine. No other energy ingredients are included.

The combination of matte brown and a gold top gives a rich impression, making it look more like a chocolate flavor rather than Irish coffee.

It's a bit hard to notice, but there's a shamrock design, in reference to Ireland. The shamrock at the bottom blends in with the coffee beans, so I think it would have been nice to feel more of an Irish coffee vibe.

What surprised me about finding the BIG SHOCK COFFEE series in the Czech Republic was the price.

It was nearly twice the price of a typical 500ml energy drink... Not just BIG SHOCK COFFEE, but other canned coffees were also expensive, so I wonder if it's normal for drinks to be priced higher than energy drinks in the Czech Republic.
