However, the taste is a surprising lack of sweetness, just sour citric acid water... It's quite sour. While it's clear that it's sugar-free, this might be the first time I've encountered such a straightforward flavor without any sweetness.

For those who have ever dissolved citric acid powder, you’ll recall that sour taste. The scent is subtly sweet, and the flavor has a strong sourness with a thin, watery texture. The aftertaste is almost nonexistent, just a faint wateriness.

Although it contains Acesulfame K, the taste of artificial sweeteners is almost imperceptible, and it honestly just feels like a sugarless version of a regular drink. It’s kind of amusing to drink, so in a way, it’s a unique sugar-free product (^_^;)

Energy Ingredients of BOMBA! ENERGY SUGAR FREE

Contains 37.5mg of caffeine. There are no other typical energy drink ingredients.

When I first tried BOMBA! Sugar-Free, I even thought it might not contain artificial sweeteners, let alone sugar. But since it contains Acesulfame K, it seems they’ve at least adjusted the taste a little.

Design of BOMBA! ENERGY SUGAR FREE

A simple design with a white can featuring BOMBA!'s navy and yellow colors and the B! logo. It’s so simple that it doesn’t really look like an energy drink.

Just like BOMBA! Classic, the simplicity makes it feel a bit lacking on its own, but when the series is complete, it looks quite nice.

This is how an energy drink should be. Despite the lack of flavor in this sugar-free version, the brand has grown to the point where it feels acceptable, which is amusing. Well, I probably won’t be buying this sugar-free version again (^_^;)
