Released in October 2023, this is a review of BSC ENERGY BERRY BURST, one of three flavors in the energy drink series from the Australian supplement manufacturer "Body Science."
Until now, it had been sold at high prices in convenience stores and supplement shops, so I had been holding off on buying it. However, in 2024, I found it at a supermarket for just 3 AUD per can, which allowed me to pick up all the flavors at a great price.

Flavor of BSC ENERGY BERRY BURST
When opened, a sweet strawberry candy scent bursts out. The fragrance is so strong that it’s hard to believe it’s a sugar-free energy drink! Now, let me take a sip.
When I take a sip, it has a smooth, sweet strawberry syrup flavor. My first impression is that the sweetness of the strawberry syrup is quite surprising, but in reality, it's just that the fragrance is unusually strong. The taste itself is light and has a crisp, clean feel.
That being said, it's not the typical refreshing, sugar-free taste. Because of the overpowering strawberry candy fragrance, the overall flavor is comparable to a full-sugar sweet strawberry flavor, with a punch that’s quite surprising.
The fragrance lasts a long time after drinking, leaving the taste of strawberry syrup lingering in my mouth. I imagine there are quite a few people who might not be able to finish the whole 500ml!
Drin-kun gave up halfway due to the strong scent. It’s that rich and sweet, a sugar-free strawberry flavor that really stands out.
Energy Ingredients of BSC ENERGY BERRY BURST
It contains 160mg of caffeine, 2000mg of taurine, and 600mg of glucuronolactone.
The clear separation of nutritional and energy ingredients on the back makes it easy to read, which is great. Since energy drinks from supplement manufacturers often focus on the ingredients, they tend to provide this level of detail clearly.
Design of BSC ENERGY BERRY BURST
The base color is a strawberry-like pink, with a striking design featuring a bodybuilder pink panther.
It seems that an animal that represents the flavor is used as the image character. This time, with the combination of strawberry pink and the panther, it's a "Pink Panther."
On the back, the ingredients and effects of BSC ENERGY are displayed with icons.
Since the main color of BSC ENERGY BERRY BURST is pink, which is used as the main color for the flavor, it blends a bit too much with the red and light blue that are common throughout the series. This can make it slightly hard to read, but I guess it’s just the consistent color scheme and design of the series.
The front design of this series is also impactful, so it always stands out on store shelves.
In convenience stores and supplement shops, it is sold at quite high prices, so it might be worth considering buying it if you find it in a supermarket. I personally found it for 3 AUD at a supermarket, and I’m so glad I didn’t buy it at a convenience store before.
