BIG GAME ENERGY PEACH PASSION
In May 2022, the gamer-focused energy drink series, BIG GAME ENERGY, was launched with three flavors, as part of the Bucked Up series.
Originally, BIG GAME was released as a gamer-targeted supplement within the Bucked Up brand's main product line. Later, in May 2022, the liquid energy drink series was introduced. Since the ingredients differ from those in the main Bucked Up products, let’s take a closer look at both the flavor and the ingredients.

In 2001, while living in the United States, I encountered energy drinks through the dance scene and was deeply impressed. After returning to Japan, I found that energy drinks were considered novelty beverages, so I established a comprehensive website in 2013 to share the true appeal of energy drinks. As an energy drink enthusiast, I began drinking them seriously again, collecting over 7,000 varieties of energy drinks from various countries. I am also active as a critic and expert, receiving media interviews.
Flavor of BIG GAME ENERGY PEACH PASSION
When I open the can, a sweet mango candy-like scent spreads out. What flavor is this again? I check the label and see "PEACH PASSION" ... But wait, the smell is nothing like the flavor name. The color is a pale pink, so there's a slight peach vibe to it. It's a bit of a mixed feeling, but let's give it a try.
When I take a sip, it has a sweet cotton candy flavor. Hmm, there's a hint of peachy taste that comes through later, but it lacks the refreshing and vibrant peach essence. It’s just sweet, with no fruity depth to it.
If you’re a fan of cotton candy flavors, this would be totally agreeable.
Zero-calorie energy drinks made for gamers often don't try to replicate the natural fruity sweetness found in regular energy drinks. Instead, they usually have that artificial zero-calorie taste. So, in terms of being a gamer-targeted energy drink, this one doesn’t feel out of place.
However, when I think about whether I’d want to repeat this or finish it all the way through, it’s a little uncertain for me.
Energy Ingredients of BIG GAME ENERGY PEACH PASSION
It contains 150mg of caffeine, taurine, a combination of arginine and inositol known as nooLVL, tyrosine for cognitive function, αGPC, huperzine A, and lutein and zeaxanthin for eye health.
The caffeine content is kept at 150mg, which is half of the main BUCKED UP series. Other ingredients seem to be slightly adjusted for gamers.
As gamer-specific ingredients, it includes compounds for brain function and eye health. However, since there is no detailed information about each ingredient, most people will probably drink it without really understanding what these ingredients are about.
Since the amounts of these ingredients aren’t clear, it might be best not to expect much from their effects. Still, the names of these ingredients contribute to the overall "gamer support" feel of the product. It would be nice if they at least included a bit of context about why these particular ingredients were chosen.
Design of BIG GAME ENERGY PEACH PASSION
The can has a clean, white matte finish with peach-colored orange hues that resemble peach flesh, and a dot-based design adding a game-like vibe. The color scheme, design, and use of space are all quite stylish.
In the center, the iconic buck logo from the BUCKED UP brand is depicted in dots. The product name clearly conveys that it’s a gamer-targeted energy drink.
As expected from a supplement brand, the product also features the brand logos for the ingredients.
The rest of the text is all in gray, except for the nutritional information and barcode, which softens the packed-in text and results in a nicely balanced overall design.
Recent energy drinks from supplement brands have generally had well-thought-out designs for both the front and back, which give them a unique beauty that’s not typically found in traditional energy drink brands.
It seems that the BIG GAME ENERGY series was discontinued after just a year, and when I visited the U.S. in 2023, it was being sold for just $1. The regular price at the supermarket was relatively high... the product cycle is way too fast.
