This is burn Love Me, released in France in 2014.

The burn Love Me for this release has a limited edition design, but the contents are the original burn formula. I opened a can of burn Love Me to add to my collection of burn’s ORIGINAL products.

Flavor of burn Love Me (ORIGINAL)

The contents are a bright red, typical of burn’s red berry color. This time, burn Love Me seems to have maintained its color better than the burn COLLECTOR I tried earlier, likely because it hasn’t deteriorated.

I tried it right away, and I found that the carbonation is a bit weaker compared to the burn Original released in Japan. This is because it uses a wing slide can, which likely allows gas to escape more easily than the usual pull-tab cans.

It has an artificial berry flavor with no real fruitiness. The sweetness is almost nonexistent, and it seems the flavor is created by adding berry scent to the acidity. The taste itself is a very typical berry flavor, with nothing particularly noteworthy.

As a berry-flavored energy drink, it’s not all that remarkable, and considering there are many berry-flavored energy drinks around the world that focus on taste, it’s hard to say burn Original is the representative of berry-flavored drinks.

Personally, I think the early burn released in Japan was far tastier. It's fun to drink different products from various countries since there are some variations in burn’s red berry flavor depending on the country! (*´艸｀*)

It contains 155mg of caffeine and 1940mg of taurine, with a simple composition. The volume is 485ml instead of the usual 500ml.

The scattered "Love Me" text and colorful dots are so beautiful that they really trigger a sense of ownership... This was definitely one of those cans I thought, “I must get this!”

The wing slide can. Because the carbonation deteriorates quickly, you need to drink it sooner rather than later.

By the way, the burn COLLECTOR released two years before burn Love Me also used a wing slide can, and by the time I drank it a few years later, it had almost no carbonation left. (^_^;) A flat, artificial berry flavor is never quite as pleasant…

The combination of this stunning design and the unique European-style wing slide can creates a special experience, and it’s something I truly enjoyed. After Love Me, there have been no more collaborations with designers, and burn’s momentum slowly started to fade.
