burn MOCCA
This is a review of burn's non-carbonated coffee energy drink, burn MOCCA. The taste and design are both excellent. I feel this is one of the coffee energy drinks that should be distributed worldwide.

In 2001, while living in the United States, I encountered energy drinks through the dance scene and was deeply impressed. After returning to Japan, I found that energy drinks were considered novelty beverages, so I established a comprehensive website in 2013 to share the true appeal of energy drinks. As an energy drink enthusiast, I began drinking them seriously again, collecting over 7,000 varieties of energy drinks from various countries. I am also active as a critic and expert, receiving media interviews.
Taste of burn MOCCA
The aroma is not very strong, rather subtle.
The taste is dominated by the sweetness of milk and caramel, but it’s not overly rich, and both the aftertaste and mouthfeel are very refreshing, making it lighter compared to drinks like JAVA MONSTER.
Despite being an overseas coffee-flavored drink, it’s made to be quite drinkable for Japanese people, with a taste similar to a sweet café latte. I’m not sure how well this flavor would be accepted in Europe and the U.S., though (;´∀`).
Compared to Coffee Monster, burn MOCCA has almost no bitterness, and its sweetness is much more restrained compared to JAVA Monster. It’s a balanced coffee flavor somewhere in between the two, which makes it easier to imagine.
Just looking at the color, I thought it would be an overly sweet coffee-flavored drink, but the aroma and sweetness are well balanced and would appeal to Japanese tastes ( ´∀`)b Good!
Energy Ingredients of burn MOCCA
The caffeine content is the same as regular burn, at 80mg, with 1000mg of taurine. There don’t seem to be any notable ingredients besides that. The drink contains 35% milk, which contributes about 3g of protein.
I really like the stylish design with the burn flame logo, which gives a nice touch to the ingredient details (●´ω`●).
Japan used to have this design, but it’s no longer available, and now there are some variations between the world editions of burn. While there may be character restrictions, I personally would love to see this design used more.
Plenty of Coffee Flavor
The "Coffee Energy Drink" label combined with the burn flame fits surprisingly well with the imagery of roasted coffee beans. The coffee flavor is clearer and more prominent in burn MOCCA compared to JAVA MONSTER, which is really nice. I also quite like this design.
However, after burn MOCCA, there haven’t been any other coffee energy drinks released by burn, so maybe it didn’t gain much popularity. It would be great if this flavor were released in Japan as is. I believe it could stand out from other coffee energy drinks in terms of flavor.
