Released in September 2021, C4 ENERGY launched its first collaboration series with the incredibly famous candy brand "STARBURST," offering four different flavors simultaneously. This time, I’ll be reviewing the strawberry flavor.

Upon opening the can, I noticed a sweet cotton candy-like aroma that brings to mind a slight resemblance to Monster Ultra.

When I took a sip, I experienced a sweet and sour plum and raspberry-like flavor. The sweetness and tartness were noticeable, but the drink felt very light and gave off a playful vibe, without any indication that it's a zero-sugar product.

The aftertaste is crisp and refreshing, making it easy to drink even in a fitness setting despite the candy-like flavor.

Although it’s marketed as strawberry flavor, it doesn’t resemble the strawberry taste that many Japanese people might expect. This is likely because the distinct strawberry scent is missing. However, this flavor isn’t about delivering a fruity punch, but rather about offering a unique taste that pairs well with the STARBURST collaboration. So, even without the guilt of sugar, this flavor stands out on its own.
