The CELSIUS ESSENTIALS series debuted in November 2023, and in just three months, a new flavor has been added. The pace of new releases is impressively fast. It’s clear that CELSIUS is putting a lot of effort into the ESSENTIALS line.

While major brands are expanding their 355ml white cans in response to CELSIUS, it seems this new expansion is targeting existing 473ml cans from other large brands.

The flavor is light and clear, lacking the intensity or depth typical of tropical fruits, and it doesn’t have the fruitiness or pulpiness you'd expect. The tanginess lingers nicely in the aftertaste, balancing the gentle sweetness with an accent.

The light and refreshing tropical fruit flavor is great for drinking during exercise, and personally, it’s a flavor I’d love to have with breakfast—fresh and invigorating.

Even without the taste of real fruit, it has a “deliciousness” that makes you want to drink more. You realize it when the taste and aroma evolve as you drink, and before you know it, you’re gulping it down. You might find yourself suddenly realizing this, or you may unconsciously finish the can.

The CELSIUS ESSENTIALS series includes the same MetaPlus formula as the regular CELSIUS series, with the addition of amino acids and 70mg more caffeine, bringing the total to 270mg. This series is clearly aimed at the fitness scene, with larger portions and ingredients designed for an active lifestyle.
