A stroll around the world exploring energy drinks
What Was Supposed to Be a Quick Convenience Store Run...
I thought I'd try some energy drink special editions, so I headed out to a nearby convenience store and supermarket, but I ended up walking around for three hours on a journey to find energy drinks! (lol) Here’s what I ended up buying.
At first, I thought I’d only buy Burn in red and blue and Monster Chaos, but then I found Calpis Energy at a slightly farther store, and on my way back, I stumbled upon Explosion. After walking further, I found Hakko. Before I knew it, I’d been walking nonstop for three hours (;´∀`)
For lunch, I ate Merry Merry-Go-Round at the surprise Donkey, so I guess it was a good workout?
Surprisingly, Some Stores Carry Even Minor Energy Drinks
Even though minor energy drinks are sold nationwide in Japan, there are only a few stores that carry them, and many are shrinking their stock, so I sometimes miss the chance to get them. Products that aren’t heavily marketed may disappear before I even get a chance to try them. Luckily, I found these three kinds today (*´艸`*)
I also spotted Mad Clock and Rockstar. I hope their distribution expands!
By the way, I also bought Blackout Zero at Don Quijote. There’s a regular version too, but I’m not sure when I’ll drink it.
Special Editions...
I hope I can upload some special edition articles when I get the time. I’d love to write something that truly feels like Energy Drink-kun ((o(´∀`)o))

Author: Energy Drink-kun
In 2001, while living in the United States, I encountered energy drinks through the dance scene and was deeply impressed. After returning to Japan, I found that energy drinks were considered novelty beverages, so I established a comprehensive website in 2013 to share the true appeal of energy drinks. As an energy drink enthusiast, I began drinking them seriously again, collecting over 7,000 varieties of energy drinks from various countries. I am also active as a critic and expert, receiving media interviews.
