A new energy drink has arrived v(´∀`*v)

Posted on June 19, 2014 | Last updated February 16, 2025

This Time’s Theme is Energy Drink Weapons (Madness)

This time, I’m going with the theme of lethal energy drinks, like a "lethal energy drink weapon." Let's talk about those drinks that could be considered weapons.

Energy Drink Mania
First up is Spike, a small can that contains 300mg of caffeine in a 250ml can. There are several varieties of Spike, but this time I’m talking about Spike Shooter. There's also a version called Shotgun. Lethal.
(Let's pretend we didn’t see the "WARNING" label on top.)

Next is Bang, the kind of energy drink that the FDA might allow, but the PTA definitely would not approve. It’s a 473ml can and contains 357mg of caffeine. The manufacturer is a bodybuilding-focused brand, so the caffeine amount is pretty normal for them, but if you’re sensitive to caffeine or if you're a kid, it’s best to avoid it. By the way, it also contains creatine, and given the nature of the brand, I think it’s quite popular in a small niche in Japan. I’ll stop here before I accidentally end up repeating a review (;´∀`).

Other Drinks Are Just Regular Energy Drinks

Other than those, there are Knockout, Monster, Rockstar, and Playboy. There are many other products that have been discontinued, and I’m starting to think that’s pretty crazy. Some of the drinks I’ve had in the past are disappearing, and even Rockstar has changed its packaging a lot, so it feels like I’m drinking a completely different product now. I’d like to stock up on some of them before they disappear for good.

I don’t know how many I’ve had over time, but since I was tossing cans and pull-tabs without a second thought, I now feel regret as an energy drink fanatic (-_-;).

I’ll Be Writing Reviews Little by Little

There’s a lot to cover, and recently, I’ve also been writing other articles besides reviews, so it’s been a bit hectic. I’ll be writing reviews little by little.

Energy-Drink-Man is not a professional writer but an ordinary person, so the writing speed is slow. If I want to do a proper job, it takes around two hours from taking photos to posting the review. You can probably tell when I’ve written something quickly and casually. I think some reviews might be like that, but I’ll make revisions soon (w).

From news to other content articles, I’m doing my best as an amateur, so I’ll publish everything gradually, teasing it out as I go! v(´∀`*v)

Author informationAuthor: Energy Drink-kun

In 2001, while living in the United States, I encountered energy drinks through the dance scene and was deeply impressed. After returning to Japan, I found that energy drinks were considered novelty beverages, so I established a comprehensive website in 2013 to share the true appeal of energy drinks. As an energy drink enthusiast, I began drinking them seriously again, collecting over 7,000 varieties of energy drinks from various countries. I am also active as a critic and expert, receiving media interviews.
