Monster Energy limited edition gear has arrived
Arrived in Less Than 2 Weeks!
The limited Monster Energy gear, which was given to the first 10,000 people on June 16, has finally arrived at my place! There were so many tweets on Twitter today about people receiving their gear. When I applied, it said it would take 2–3 weeks to deliver, so I didn’t expect it to arrive so quickly. It's too fast!
A Quick Look at the 5 Types of Limited Gear
I ordered one of each item, and they all arrived as single pieces. I'll write more detailed reviews elsewhere, but here’s a brief rundown of my thoughts.
First, the backpack. Getting this for just 2,000 yen is amazing. It feels like they just released a regular product for free. It's quite large with lots of pockets, and the size is perfect. The color scheme is also really nice. If it were sold normally, it could easily go for around 9,800 yen, maybe even more.
The t-shirts are definitely better for women in terms of the design. The men’s M size had a bigger waistline than I expected. The cap’s print feels a little cheap, but that’s understandable. The beanie, when it wears down, might start losing its logo, so I’ll keep that one safe.
Looking Forward to the Next Project
Despite all the drama around this promotion, the limited gear itself was great. Personally, I think it was an amazing campaign, and I was surprised by how many hardcore Monster Energy fans there are. I'm definitely looking forward to the next campaign.
Rather than giving the limited goods only to people involved, giving them away to fans was a great way to increase customer satisfaction and make for great PR (there have been quite a few similar giveaways recently...).
It's not just about buying the merchandise, but the fact that Monster Energy is directly giving it away to fans is what really makes it special. I feel like the distance between the brand and the fans is much closer this way. I hope they do another project like this to keep the Monster Energy fans excited!

In 2001, while living in the United States, I encountered energy drinks through the dance scene and was deeply impressed. After returning to Japan, I found that energy drinks were considered novelty beverages, so I established a comprehensive website in 2013 to share the true appeal of energy drinks. As an energy drink enthusiast, I began drinking them seriously again, collecting over 7,000 varieties of energy drinks from various countries. I am also active as a critic and expert, receiving media interviews.
