Energy drink video

Starting Energy Drink Video Content

I had been thinking about doing this for a while but never got around to it – creating energy drink video content. I've been thinking about how to structure it, and recently, it's started to come together, so I'm planning to give it a go.

That said, it won't be selfie-style videos or anything like that. The basic focus is to create content that allows people to "learn more about the world of energy drinks."

Energy Drinks ≠ Nutritional Drinks

The nutritional drink market is very strong in Japan, and with the arrival of cool energy drinks, I've noticed that people in their teens and early 20s, who previously wouldn't have drunk nutritional drinks, now drink them in a similar way. It seems like energy drinks are being used for things like studying for exams or pulling all-nighters.

While they can be used this way (the caffeine content is equivalent to one cup of coffee), the drink is more active-focused than just being a simple energy booster (which is why it only has the equivalent of one cup of coffee’s caffeine). I’m actually surprised that this aspect of energy drinks hasn’t really caught on in Japan. I hope to expand on the background of energy drinks more through video content.

I Really Love the Real World of Energy Drinks (u_u*)

Energy drinks are neither nutritional drinks nor supplements, and I feel that just throwing out terms like "○○ ingredients to support an active lifestyle" feels like something you’d hear for nutritional or sports drinks. (Though, there are some with extremely high concentrations of ingredients, but that's rare.)

Ingredients are important, but at the same time, energy drinks are really interesting because they also emphasize branding and promotional strategies that put brand image at the forefront. This sets them apart from traditional products.

What I've noticed after watching the main brands of energy drinks for so long is just how much influence energy drink companies have on society. Beverage companies are changing people’s lives. Many people and industries that used to be underground or couldn’t make a living have been spotlighted, and many industries are becoming more mainstream.

What are they doing? It starts with organizing events and competitions, offering support to individuals, and constantly spotlighting those individuals globally. I don’t think many people write blogs thinking about these things, but Energy-Drink-Kun isn’t just a fan of energy drinks; he truly loves the energy drink industry and wants as many people as possible to know about the exciting aspects of it.

The best way to communicate that is through videos, and fortunately, there’s a wealth of videos out there. However, the downside is that there’s so much content that it can be overwhelming to watch. My goal is to curate easy-to-understand, impactful videos that everyone can enjoy. While creating content, I also get to discover new aspects of this world, so it's a win-win! ((o(´∀`)o))

In 2001, while living in the United States, I encountered energy drinks through the dance scene and was deeply impressed. After returning to Japan, I found that energy drinks were considered novelty beverages, so I established a comprehensive website in 2013 to share the true appeal of energy drinks. As an energy drink enthusiast, I began drinking them seriously again, collecting over 7,000 varieties of energy drinks from various countries. I am also active as a critic and expert, receiving media interviews.
