Energy Drinks Blooming with 'For 〇〇 Use' Labels
I reviewed the Matsukiyo Energy Drink "Shakiin" today. At room temperature, it wasn't all that great, and it was just okay when chilled. However, it really shines when you add plenty of ice. I tweeted about it, and just adding a lot of ice makes the flavor blossom exponentially.
I mentioned in my review that I would have rated it ★5 if it was labeled "For Ice Only." I think the concept of "〇〇専用" (For 〇〇 Only) is something worth considering.
Last winter, there was an energy drink called Cheerio Hot Energy Dan, marketed as "For Hot Use Only," which was sold in vending machines as a hot beverage. In fact, it was much better when consumed warm rather than cold. It truly was a "For Hot Use Only" product.
If the label "〇〇専用" is used without a solid reason, it’s meaningless. However, if it allows consumers to enjoy the best flavor, I think it would be fascinating if more "〇〇専用" products appeared.

In 2001, while living in the United States, I encountered energy drinks through the dance scene and was deeply impressed. After returning to Japan, I found that energy drinks were considered novelty beverages, so I established a comprehensive website in 2013 to share the true appeal of energy drinks. As an energy drink enthusiast, I began drinking them seriously again, collecting over 7,000 varieties of energy drinks from various countries. I am also active as a critic and expert, receiving media interviews.
