Boost Up Energy Drink
This is a review of Boost Up, a PB energy drink likely exclusive to ASEED vending machines.
It's quite a minor brand, so many people may not be familiar with it, but its flavor receives a relatively high rating.

In 2001, while living in the United States, I encountered energy drinks through the dance scene and was deeply impressed. After returning to Japan, I found that energy drinks were considered novelty beverages, so I established a comprehensive website in 2013 to share the true appeal of energy drinks. As an energy drink enthusiast, I began drinking them seriously again, collecting over 7,000 varieties of energy drinks from various countries. I am also active as a critic and expert, receiving media interviews.

Flavor of Boost Up

The aroma is that of a typical sweet energy drink. For a moment, I sensed a ginger-like scent, so I became concerned that, given the fiery design on the package, it might contain some spices...
Boost Up Energy Drink
When I tasted it, the strong sweet fragrance, almost like perfume, stood out. The taste itself is similar to the classic Red Bull flavor. A slightly lingering sourness gives it a refreshing taste, and it's a pretty well-balanced flavor. While the sweet fragrance lingers, the typical sourness and sweetness of a classic energy drink are not overpowering, and the aftertaste is almost nonexistent.

Among classic energy drink flavors, I think it's one of the more drinkable ones. However, that doesn’t mean it's thin or watery; it has a certain thickness but a refreshing aftertaste, which creates a surprisingly pleasant mouthfeel and flavor. I personally found it quite enjoyable.

Energy Ingredients of Boost Up

Boost Up Energy Drink
As stated on the can, the main energy ingredient in Boost Up is 300mg of arginine. There aren’t any particularly standout ingredients aside from that.
Although caffeine is mentioned on the packaging, the specific amount isn’t listed, and I haven’t received a response to my inquiry, so I’ll assume it’s zero. A bit of a shame, really. (^_^;)

Design of Boost Up

Boost Up Energy Drink
The mirror silver background with fiery red flames creates a clear and beautiful contrast. It's a clean and energetic design, fitting for a PB energy drink in a vending machine.

After reviewing, I ended up drinking over 10 cans of Boost Up because of its excellent cost-performance and taste. It’s also cheaper than other brands (150 yen), so I highly recommend it.

About a month and a half after I first found Boost Up, I went back to the vending machine to buy more. This time, the machine had two cans of Boost Up, along with a PR sticker. It seems to be selling quite well. The affordable price of 150 yen makes it easy to buy.

Considering the can design, promotions, and distribution, if they seriously pushed this as a non-PB product, I think it could be quite interesting.
