Since this is a jelly drink, shake it about ten times before opening. Even though it's carbonated, the jelly inside prevents it from foaming over.

As soon as I take a sip, the smooth, soft jelly and fizzy carbonation flow into my mouth. The flavor is almost identical to Monster Energy Original. The moment I opened the can, I suspected it might have a Monster-like aroma, and the taste confirmed it—it’s surprisingly close.

That rich, classic energy drink flavor now has a jelly texture, making it feel more substantial—almost like eating rather than drinking. Monster Energy Original is known for its chewy texture, but this Jelly × Sparkling Energy takes it to a whole new level. Instead of just having a "chewy feel," you're literally chewing as you drink, which makes for a fun and unique experience.

The nata de coco pieces are small and not too firm, adding just a slight chewiness. Some people might prefer firmer chunks for a more satisfying bite.

It’s hard to say if this would be refreshing when you're really thirsty, but the combination of a familiar energy drink flavor with jelly and nata de coco makes this a truly Japanese creation. It fills you up more than a regular liquid drink, making it quite satisfying. It’s definitely a fun drink to try at least once (*´ｪ`*).

While it might seem like just a novelty energy drink, the taste and texture are surprisingly enjoyable. It makes me think that a dedicated jelly-based energy drink brand could actually work. Interestingly, the "PuruSh!!" series holds 40% of the jelly drink market, so if they wanted to, they could probably make it happen.
