In 2001, while living in the United States, I encountered energy drinks through the dance scene and was deeply impressed. After returning to Japan, I found that energy drinks were considered novelty beverages, so I established a comprehensive website in 2013 to share the true appeal of energy drinks. As an energy drink enthusiast, I began drinking them seriously again, collecting over 7,000 varieties of energy drinks from various countries. I am also active as a critic and expert, receiving media interviews.
Ugh! What is this!?
The color is a rich reddish-brown, similar to Coca-Cola. The scent is exactly like cola.
As soon as I took a sip, I couldn't help but feel a strong sense of rejection... Σ(´∀`;) Along with the cola flavor, there is a taste of paint or something similar that makes it undrinkable (ヽ´ω`).
The taste itself is based on Coca-Cola's original, a classic cola flavor, but there is an added artificial taste that should never be in a drink. It's not just unpleasant, it’s dangerously bad.
The EnerG series is a non-alcoholic energy drink series inspired by cocktails. Perhaps the strange flavor came about in an attempt to recreate a realistic Cuba Libre without alcohol.
But honestly, this is undrinkable. I've had some energy drinks in Japan with overly spicy flavors that were undrinkable, but it's rare to find something so extreme with non-food-like flavors.
I was thinking of comparing it to the Japanese Monster Energy Cuba Libre, but the taste was beyond comparison Σ(´∀`;).
Since I opened the Monster Energy Cuba Libre, I’m drinking it to cleanse my palate.
Siti EnerG CUBA LIBRE Energy Ingredients
Contains 80mg of caffeine and 1000mg of taurine. No other energy ingredients are included.
Siti EnerG CUBA LIBRE Design
The red polka-dot pattern evokes cola, making it clear that it's meant to resemble a Cuba Libre. It does give a cheap impression, but considering it's priced at 80 yen, there wasn’t much budget for design.
For some reason, the barcode on the back has an illustration that reminds me of F1, but the Siti EnerG series has no connection to F1. Perhaps it was added just to create an energetic vibe? It might have been better to include motifs that remind you of cocktails or bars instead of an unrelated F1 image.
