In 2001, while living in the United States, I encountered energy drinks through the dance scene and was deeply impressed. After returning to Japan, I found that energy drinks were considered novelty beverages, so I established a comprehensive website in 2013 to share the true appeal of energy drinks. As an energy drink enthusiast, I began drinking them seriously again, collecting over 7,000 varieties of energy drinks from various countries. I am also active as a critic and expert, receiving media interviews.
Different from Mojito, but Delicious Mint, White Grape, and Lime
When opened, a rush of mint fragrance escapes with the carbonation. This is promising! Let's give it a try.
Wow, the refreshing mint and the tangy, rich lime juice taste with a freshly squeezed feel are really delicious (๑´ڡ`๑).
The lime juice is so strong that it doesn't quite resemble a mojito, and while there are other energy drinks with a more authentic mojito flavor, Siti EnerG stands out with its bold flavor and strong mint scent, making it a great energy drink version of mojito.
Since it doesn't contain alcohol, the stronger lime juice flavor might actually be just right.
The aftertaste is distinctive, with the unique taste of white grape gently enveloping it. I'm not sure why this aftertaste appears, but it's not bad (*´艸`*).
It's fun to try obscure brands from around the world. When traveling abroad, make sure to pick up not only major brands but also some lesser-known energy drinks you've never seen before.
Siti EnerG MOJITO's Energy Ingredients
It contains 80mg of caffeine and 1000mg of taurine. While there are no additional energy ingredients, for a product priced around 80 yen, it's quite sufficient.
Siti EnerG MOJITO's Design
A lime green polka dot pattern with the EnerG logo that gives a sense of speed. While it looks clean in the photo, the actual product looks a bit tackier Σ(´∀`;).
The barcode on the back strangely has an illustration that resembles F1, but the Siti EnerG series is likely unrelated to F1 (^_^;)
These nonsensical details are also part of the fun of budget energy drinks.
Overall, while the design feels a bit cheap, the refreshing mint and lime taste made this one of the standout budget energy drinks. Even though it's a basic private label item from a discount store, it didn’t settle for a generic flavor. This drink made me appreciate the fun of the European energy drink scene once again.
