Refreshing Green Tea Flavor with Matcha and Unsweetened Fruity Notes
When poured into a glass, it has a unique swirling sediment and cloudiness unlike anything seen before. It doesn’t look like a typical energy drink. The aroma is a refreshing blend of fruity notes, reminiscent of orange peel, combined with the scent of green tea leaves.
Upon tasting, a mild bitterness from matcha unfolds alongside a citrus-like flavor without any sweetness or acidity, complemented by the refreshing fizz of carbonation—a fruity green tea experience. At first, I found it somewhat unpalatable, but as I got used to the taste, the light citrus notes and gentle bitterness of matcha became refreshingly enjoyable. DAISHO has no sweetness, unlike the Monster Energy Rehab series, making it easy to drink with its natural flavor.
However, the complete lack of sweetness or acidity, combined with only a lightly scented fruity note, may feel unsatisfying for some. It’s not suited for those who seek strong flavors and aromas in energy drinks, but for those who frequently consume rich energy drinks, this refreshing fruity green tea flavor can be the perfect refreshment.
Energy Ingredients of DAISHO Bio Energy
Contains 80mg of caffeine, matcha, and guarana. Additionally, it includes lychee, lemon, and lime juice.

Design of DAISHO Bio Energy
The main visual features a warrior illustrated in matcha green. In the upper right corner, you’ll find the EU organic logo, indicating that the ingredients are organic.
To a Japanese person, this might seem like just another product using samurai imagery for a Japanese-themed design. However, DAISHO’s matcha is reportedly grown on a tea plantation owned by the descendants of samurai from Kyushu. Their social media posts are also heavily inspired by Japanese culture, showing that this is more than just a novelty energy drink.
On the back, there’s a poetic description of DAISHO’s ingredients. Like the short sword and long sword held by the illustrated warrior, this drink is designed to deliver a quick boost with guarana and long-lasting energy with matcha.
