BOOSTA ENERGY DRINK
BOOSTA ENERGY DRINK, originally released in South Korea in 2012. It doesn't seem to be a major product in Korea, considering the strong presence of HOT6, Red Bull, and Monster in the market.
Although there have been some other flavors released in the past, there has been no noticeable movement since 2019. Given that it has been around for nearly 10 years, it is a brand that may potentially fade away in the future.
※ It seems to have been discontinued.

In 2001, while living in the United States, I encountered energy drinks through the dance scene and was deeply impressed. After returning to Japan, I found that energy drinks were considered novelty beverages, so I established a comprehensive website in 2013 to share the true appeal of energy drinks. As an energy drink enthusiast, I began drinking them seriously again, collecting over 7,000 varieties of energy drinks from various countries. I am also active as a critic and expert, receiving media interviews.
Flavor of BOOSTA ENERGY DRINK
When I opened the can, a chemical and herbal scent spread. There was also a sweet fragrance reminiscent of a typical energy drink, almost like a medicinal smell. Let’s try drinking it.
When I tasted it, I felt a strong sweetness paired with a typical energy drink flavor and a chemical taste. It had a flavor that was closer to a medicinal drink.
The herbal scent is strong, but there’s no lingering aftertaste. If you chill it well, it has a smooth and light texture, offering a true energy drink experience.
However, the strong herbal and chemical taste is an odd and somewhat off-putting flavor. The light texture and lack of richness made it a bit tiring to drink, even though it’s in a 250ml mini size.
Energy Ingredients of BOOSTA ENERGY DRINK
It contains 77mg of caffeine, guarana, and taurine. Originally marketed as a “premium energy drink,” it doesn’t seem to have any particularly unique ingredients.
Design of BOOSTA ENERGY DRINK
The can features a mirror-like silver color with light blue and black, giving it the appearance of a sugar-free product, but it’s actually the original.
It looks somewhat like a low-cost private brand product you might find in European supermarkets.
The black BOOSTA ENERGY DRINK logo covers the entire can. There’s no sense of cheapness or laziness, but if it’s meant to be a “premium energy drink,” it could have used a bit more sophistication and a high-end feel.
