VOLT ENERGY BLUE KOREA
VOLT ENERGY BLUE (볼트 에너지 블루), an energy drink from South Korea, was released in 2012.
Although it was discontinued, it had a relatively long lifespan, being sold until 2016. Initially, it was launched with two flavors, Red and Blue. The VOLT ENERGY BLUE I’m reviewing features a blueberry flavor.

In 2001, while living in the United States, I encountered energy drinks through the dance scene and was deeply impressed. After returning to Japan, I found that energy drinks were considered novelty beverages, so I established a comprehensive website in 2013 to share the true appeal of energy drinks. As an energy drink enthusiast, I began drinking them seriously again, collecting over 7,000 varieties of energy drinks from various countries. I am also active as a critic and expert, receiving media interviews.
Flavor of VOLT ENERGY BLUE
Upon opening the can, a rich blueberry juice scent bursts out. It's not a fruit-forward type but more like a sugary blueberry water.
When you take a sip, you'll taste a mild sweetness, like blueberry gum with minimal acidity. True to the scent, it feels more like a blueberry soda without any real fruitiness.
The taste lacks punch and is characterized by a smooth sweetness, leaving a non-impactful impression. However, the strong and fairly persistent scent offers a sense of satisfaction.
Energy Ingredients of VOLT ENERGY BLUE
It contains 60mg of caffeine, 1000mg of taurine, and guarana. It also includes blueberry juice.
Design of VOLT ENERGY BLUE
The product features separate English and Korean labels on both sides.
The image depicts blueberries hanging from the tree, giving off a vibe that suggests it could be a real fruit juice.
On the front, there's a purple V logo. However, the logo and font for the product name give off a bit of a cringe-worthy impression.
Had the natural, fruit-inspired background been reflected in the logo and font, it might have added a more premium feel.
