GORILLA TURBO FRUIT OVERLOAD
GORILLA TURBO FRUIT OVERLOAD is an energy drink and pre-workout drink released by a supplement manufacturer from Malaysia.
It seems to be available in the United States and Australia as well, but I’ve never seen it before, despite having visited Malaysia more than 10 times. The only time I saw it was when I purchased it. It seems to be quite a niche energy drink.

In 2001, while living in the United States, I encountered energy drinks through the dance scene and was deeply impressed. After returning to Japan, I found that energy drinks were considered novelty beverages, so I established a comprehensive website in 2013 to share the true appeal of energy drinks. As an energy drink enthusiast, I began drinking them seriously again, collecting over 7,000 varieties of energy drinks from various countries. I am also active as a critic and expert, receiving media interviews.
Flavor of GORILLA TURBO FRUIT OVERLOAD
Upon opening, there is a distinct sour aroma typical of Asian-style classic flavors. The color is a champagne gold, lighter than expected. It's quite an elegant color.
When you take a sip, you immediately experience a burst of chemical flavor with a sourness reminiscent of the Asian-style Red Bull flavor.
Given the product's name, "Fruit Overload," I was expecting some kind of fruity flavor, but surprisingly, it tasted just like a typical Asian energy drink.
There is little residue, and the chemical flavor, similar to that of a nutritional drink, lingers.
It’s carbonated, giving a refreshing sensation, yet the aroma remains, allowing you to enjoy the Asian energy drink flavor with the ease of European Red Bull.
Energy Ingredients of GORILLA TURBO FRUIT OVERLOAD
It contains 80mg of caffeine and 1000mg of taurine. These are typical energy ingredients.
Design of GORILLA TURBO FRUIT OVERLOAD
At first, I wondered what this logo was, but it turns out it’s a silhouette of a gorilla diving. I didn’t notice that at all.
The side of the can is filled with ingredients and other details in English. Overall, the font size balance is well done, making it visually appealing.
By the way, the product name, "Fruit Overload," is also included in small print on the side of the can.
As it's an energy drink from Malaysia, there is also a halal certification mark.
The Gorilla drink series currently has four variations, and the energy drink reviewed here is the only "Fruit Overload" flavor.
The energy drink comes in a 250ml, single-serving size. Other fitness drinks come in 330ml. Despite having visited Malaysia more than 10 times, I've never seen it anywhere (^_^;)
