In 2001, while living in the United States, I encountered energy drinks through the dance scene and was deeply impressed. After returning to Japan, I found that energy drinks were considered novelty beverages, so I established a comprehensive website in 2013 to share the true appeal of energy drinks. As an energy drink enthusiast, I began drinking them seriously again, collecting over 7,000 varieties of energy drinks from various countries. I am also active as a critic and expert, receiving media interviews.
Refreshing Mint Tea Flavor
A refreshing minty, toothpaste-like scent bursts out when opened.
Upon taking a sip, the flavor is surprisingly refreshing, like a mint tea, which you wouldn't expect from its color.
It looks like a typical energy drink, so you might think it’s sweet. But in reality, it’s quite the opposite—there’s a refreshing and pleasant astringency and bitterness from the tea leaves, complemented by mint for a crisp taste. It’s a bit of an unusual sensation.
Though it contains sugar, the sweetness is just right, and it has a smooth mouthfeel.
SCHECKTER’S ORGANIC ENERGY MINT Energy Ingredients
Contains 80mg of caffeine, guarana, ginseng, and other ingredients. For flavor, it includes Sicilian lemon, green tea, oolong tea, and spearmint.
SCHECKTER’S ORGANIC ENERGY MINT Design
The design has a cork and wood chip-like aesthetic with a smooth matte texture. It has the classic organic product look with the "O" and leaf in the logo, which is common for organic energy drinks.
The green accents highlight the mint flavor, and the green tab completes the look. The can also displays organic certification marks from various countries.
Overall, the design clearly communicates that it’s an organic product, but the downside is the price. It costs over 350 yen, which makes it hard to justify purchasing regularly. You might end up just trying one can and not coming back for more.
