pussy ENERGY DRINK
Pussy ENERGY DRINK was born in the UK in 2007, and it seems they are now also working hard to promote it in the U.S.
The Pussy ENERGY DRINK I'm reviewing today is one of the early versions that was exported to the U.S. following its release in the UK. Currently, it is sold under a slightly different name, "Pussy Natural Energy."

In 2001, while living in the United States, I encountered energy drinks through the dance scene and was deeply impressed. After returning to Japan, I found that energy drinks were considered novelty beverages, so I established a comprehensive website in 2013 to share the true appeal of energy drinks. As an energy drink enthusiast, I began drinking them seriously again, collecting over 7,000 varieties of energy drinks from various countries. I am also active as a critic and expert, receiving media interviews.
Flavor of Pussy ENERGY DRINK
I initially thought that Pussy ENERGY DRINK, given its name, was just a gimmicky energy drink, but as soon as I opened it, a sweet and citrusy aroma burst out, creating a sophisticated scent. I thought, "Maybe this is going to taste good!" and my expectations rose. Unexpected!
When poured into a glass, the drink has a refined champagne gold color, and the aroma spreads even more. The combination of the white and pink can design makes it look quite beautiful.
When I took a sip, I was greeted by a refreshing citrus flavor of lime and grapefruit. The gentle bitterness of grapefruit was pleasant, and the fresh sweetness, like fruit bursting in my mouth, was a highlight.
Despite having a rich and satisfying taste, the aftertaste is clean and light, leaving behind a slight bitter fruit flavor and aroma, allowing for a lingering aftertaste. This is truly a well-crafted flavor.
It's not attempting to replicate a real citrus fruit juice, but rather blends the citrusy sweet-bitter flavor and aroma with Pussy Energy’s distinctive sweet fragrance, achieving a unique flavor that is impressive.
With a fruit juice content of 14.9%, this high concentration likely enhances the fruitiness and fleshiness. Instead of solely focusing on a real fruit flavor, the unique sweet flavor of Pussy Energy is well-balanced, making it stand out from other similar citrus-flavored drinks. The level of deliciousness is on a whole different dimension. (●´ω`●)
Energy Ingredients of Pussy ENERGY DRINK
Pussy ENERGY DRINK is made with 100% natural ingredients. This version is labeled "Energy Drink," but the product now sold is branded as "Natural Energy," making the product concept clearer.
The energy ingredients include 530mg of guarana, 80mg of caffeine, 286mg of milk thistle, 112mg of schizandra, and 103mg of sarsaparilla. Some of these ingredients are quite unique for an energy drink. Guarana is used at nearly 10 times the typical amount found in most energy drinks.
Although I don’t expect to feel immediately energized from drinking this, I find it interesting that the energy drink reflects its product concept in the ingredients.
The fruit juice content includes 10.7% white grape and 4.2% lime.
How Popular is Pussy ENERGY DRINK?
I’ve known about Pussy ENERGY DRINK for a long time, but I’d never seen it in stores and didn’t have much interest in it. After trying it and finding it surprisingly delicious, I’ve become curious. However, I’m still not sure how widely recognized it is or how well it’s performing as a business.
It feels like the start of some reality TV show!
The version of Pussy ENERGY DRINK I reviewed is an older design. Currently, many versions with different designs are circulating in various countries, including Europe. The flavor pleasantly surprised me, the can design was great, and I think I’ll start collecting more of them. (*´艸`*)
It seems all cans have a silver tab. If they had a pink tab, it would add an even cuter touch, and I hope they work on that in the future.
