VICTORY ENERGIZE
A black can with a green logo, a design reminiscent of something you've seen before—this is the Victory Energy Drink. It is a low-cost energy drink brand, priced at 99 cents, born in Montana, USA, in 2012.
Although it never expanded nationwide, it was available in Guam and Hawaii, so there may be quite a few Japanese travelers who have come across it during their trips.

In 2001, while living in the United States, I encountered energy drinks through the dance scene and was deeply impressed. After returning to Japan, I found that energy drinks were considered novelty beverages, so I established a comprehensive website in 2013 to share the true appeal of energy drinks. As an energy drink enthusiast, I began drinking them seriously again, collecting over 7,000 varieties of energy drinks from various countries. I am also active as a critic and expert, receiving media interviews.
Flavor of VICTORY ENERGIZE
From the color and the sweet, enveloping fragrance, I can only imagine the original Monster Energy flavor.
When you take a sip, it delivers the sweet, classic flavor. The official description says "lemon-lime flavor," but it's not lemon-lime at all. Instead, it’s a flavor recreated to reflect the classic taste, with a sweet aroma and flavor that could easily serve as an alternative to Monster Energy.
The aftertaste is also rich, and the sweet fragrance lingers. The drink offers a satisfying and full-bodied experience. At 473ml for 99 cents, this is one of the best cost-performance energy drink brands in America.
If this was 99 cents, I believe some people would have chosen Victory Energy over Monster Energy. For Americans who drink energy drinks based on flavor and energy ingredients rather than brand, this could have been a hidden gem.
Energy Ingredients of VIOLICTORY ENERGIZE
Contains caffeine, taurine, ginseng, and guarana. The exact amounts of each ingredient are not listed on the can, and they were not disclosed officially at the time.
Design of VIOLICTORY ENERGIZE
A black can with the "V" of VIOLICTORY prominently featured, resembling the Monster Energy logo.
In fact, Monster Energy filed a lawsuit over this design. Ultimately, the case was settled, but it makes you wonder if there was really a need to create a knockoff when Monster Energy is already known for frequently suing companies.
The back is simple, without any mysterious energy poems or other additions.
Both the can design and flavor are clearly inspired by the original Monster Energy product, making it a similar item that represents the explosive energy drink boom in America. While the taste was good, the brand and product lacked distinguishing features, and it disappeared from the market after about three years.
