HIT POINT GINSENG ENERGY DRINK
Released in 2021, this is the carbonated-free energy drink "HIT POINT" from Vietnam.
Since all the product information and features are written in Vietnamese, I didn't know what the product was like until I researched it. What will it taste like, I wonder!?

In 2001, while living in the United States, I encountered energy drinks through the dance scene and was deeply impressed. After returning to Japan, I found that energy drinks were considered novelty beverages, so I established a comprehensive website in 2013 to share the true appeal of energy drinks. As an energy drink enthusiast, I began drinking them seriously again, collecting over 7,000 varieties of energy drinks from various countries. I am also active as a critic and expert, receiving media interviews.
Flavor of HIT POINT Korean Ginseng Energy Drink
When I open the can, a sweet, caramel-like roasted aroma fills the air. The drink itself is brown, similar to tea, with some powdery particles or solids visible. Let's give it a try.
Upon tasting, a rich, tea-like bitterness and a strong herbal flavor, reminiscent of traditional medicine, spread in my mouth along with the sweetness. My first impression is that it's "bitter, sweet, and unpleasant."
Unlike chemical flavors, this tastes more like ground herbs and tea leaves. Even after drinking, the aroma lingers and rises from the back of my throat with an intense aftertaste.
Despite its appearance as an energy drink, HIT POINT is uncarbonated, which, combined with its flavor, makes it resemble a bitter herbal drink or an old-fashioned Asian health tonic with added sweetness.
I've included "Korean Ginseng Energy Drink" in the title for clarity, but since the product packaging is entirely in Vietnamese, I didn't know it was a Korean ginseng energy drink until I looked it up. After translating, the flavor makes more sense.
Energy Ingredients of HIT POINT Korean Ginseng Energy Drink
It contains 2.5g of Korean ginseng powder, taurine, caffeine, inositol, and choline. As the name suggests, the ginseng content is extremely high.
Typical energy drinks contain about 50mg of ginseng, so HIT POINT contains approximately 50 times more ginseng than regular energy drinks.
There is no information on the exact amounts of other energy ingredients.
Since the product doesn’t have a nutritional label, the details like calories are unknown. With the official website lacking this information, I’ve recorded everything as "0."
Design of HIT POINT Korean Ginseng Energy Drink
The design features a classic Western energy drink look with a bold yellow and black color scheme.
The intricate background patterns and diagonal design elements give it a sleek, stylish appearance. Both the front and back are entirely in Vietnamese, so just by looking at the design, one would not guess that it’s a Korean ginseng-flavored drink.
