In September 2022, the GNC-exclusive collaboration product "G FUEL Divine Peach" with MoistCr1TiKal was launched.

The design features an impactful depiction of the YouTuber "MoistCr1TiKal," who has over 16 million subscribers, portrayed with a Christ-like image. Despite traveling to the U.S. five times in the two years following its release, I never encountered it—until finally managing to snag one during the summer of 2024. Since it has already been discontinued online, the remaining stock is now limited to store shelves.

When opened, a refreshing aroma of peach and pear wafts out. The peach flavor doesn’t immediately come to mind from this can color, but let’s take a sip and see.

As I take a sip, a juicy, mildly sweet peach flavor spreads in my mouth, followed by a subtle, indescribable bitterness. It also feels somewhat artificial and chemical, but I honestly can’t pinpoint what causes this strange sensation.

What could be interfering with the fresh peach flavor? According to the official description, it’s a mix of “peach, kiwi, and dragon fruit.” Ah, indeed, the peculiar “neutral” taste and sensation align perfectly with dragon fruit. The kiwi flavor, however, is almost nonexistent.

There are a few energy drinks featuring dragon fruit flavors, but none have managed to replicate the “lack of taste” characteristic of dragon fruit so accurately. If I were to evaluate just the level of dragon fruit flavor reproduction, it would deserve the highest marks.

That said, considering the product’s name is “Divine Peach,” many would be surprised by the disparity between the name and the actual taste. The strong miscellaneous flavors overpower the peach, so those expecting a straightforward peach flavor might rate it poorly.

Knowing that the unfamiliar taste is a deliberate attempt to replicate dragon fruit might change one’s perception, but determining whether it’s delicious overall is another matter.

Previously, influencer illustrations were only included on the back of the cans, but this time, the entire can reflects a unique world-building concept, with MoistCr1TiKal prominently displayed on the front—setting it apart from other influencer collaborations.

Icons are lined up on the side of the can. Among energy drink brands originating from supplement companies, G FUEL stands out for its awkward icon arrangement and excessive empty space. It would be great if they added ingredient breakdowns tailored for gamers.
