G FUEL MIAMI Night
This is G FUEL MIAMI Nights, which started being sold by GNC in September 2022.
I had been looking for it in the U.S. since 2022, but it wasn’t until the summer of 2024 that I finally managed to get my hands on it at a GNC in San Francisco.
With the design and vibe, you can probably guess what kind of flavor this might have, right!? Let’s dive in and try it.

In 2001, while living in the United States, I encountered energy drinks through the dance scene and was deeply impressed. After returning to Japan, I found that energy drinks were considered novelty beverages, so I established a comprehensive website in 2013 to share the true appeal of energy drinks. As an energy drink enthusiast, I began drinking them seriously again, collecting over 7,000 varieties of energy drinks from various countries. I am also active as a critic and expert, receiving media interviews.
G FUEL MIAMI Nights Flavor
When I open the can, a sweet coconut scent and a juicy, sweet pineapple aroma burst out. It's exactly the kind of piña colada scent I was expecting from the can design. Let’s take a sip.
Upon taking a sip, the sweet and sour pineapple flavor gives a juicy burst, followed by a refreshing sweetness that lingers like apple, and the coconut scent slowly fades away.
This entire shift in taste and aroma happens in the moment from taking a sip to swallowing, and it creates a wonderfully balanced piña colada experience with the characteristic deliciousness that’s pleasing to the palate.
There’s no off-putting artificial sweetener taste, typical of zero-sugar drinks, but it also lacks the depth or richness found in full-sugar versions. As a result, it has a lighter mouthfeel, so some people might crave a bit more of the juicy pineapple flavor or the creamy heaviness of coconut.
Personally, I enjoyed the smooth combination of pineapple and coconut, and the tropical piña colada vibe is captured excellently. It’s delicious, and to be able to enjoy this without sugar is truly impressive.
G FUEL MIAMI Nights Energy Ingredients
It contains 140mg of caffeine, L-theanine, zinc, green tea, turmeric, broccoli, and kale. The caffeine content is on the lower end for the G FUEL line, which offers a few drinks with less caffeine.
G FUEL MIAMI Nights Design
The overall can color is a combination of light blue, pink, and purple, representing the neon lights of Miami, and everything, from the front to the nutrition facts section, embodies Miami colors. I really like this vibe.
The sunset and scenery typical of Miami are timeless images, always evoking that unique feel.
The cocktail depicted includes strawberries. G FUEL officially describes this as a “Strawberry Piña Colada flavor,” but honestly, the strawberry flavor is barely noticeable. Instead, you can purely enjoy the piña colada taste.
The font design for the product name also captures the retro Miami aesthetic well.
Not only does the can represent the piña colada cocktail flavor, but it also expresses the nostalgic Miami vibe, which is really interesting. G FUEL releases many collaborations, but original products like MIAMI Nights come out from time to time, and their rapid pace of new releases is always surprising.
