When opening the can, a sweet and tangy strawberry fruit scent fills the air. It has a surprisingly fruity aroma, but since many G FUEL drinks have an artificial taste, I’m curious to see how this one tastes. Let’s give it a try.

Taking a sip, the taste is lightly sweet with a tangy accent. However, it doesn’t have the rich strawberry flavor or fruitiness that the scent suggested. Hmm, it’s not quite the delicious strawberry fruit flavor I expected from the scent. The taste is somewhat artificial.

Since the flavor name isn’t "Strawberry" but "Strawberry Slushie," it’s important to recognize that this isn’t exactly strawberry flavor. Slushie is a frozen, sherbet-like drink typically found in convenience stores in the U.S., not something you drink to enjoy a rich flavor.

Because it doesn’t have a real fruit taste, I decided to try it with plenty of ice to mimic the refreshing coldness of a slushie.

Wow, adding ice really made it much tastier! When served chilled, the sweetness and refreshing feeling were lacking, but adding ice brought out the strawberry fruit aroma, and the off-flavor of artificial sweeteners disappeared, making it much easier to drink. Honestly, I didn’t think it was enjoyable at room temperature or chilled, so ice is definitely a must for this one.

Generally, energy drinks and carbonated beverages are often enjoyed chilled, but for ONE SHOT GURL STRAWBERRY SLUSHIE, I highly recommend it with ice.

After 2023, we saw more flashy collaboration designs that covered the whole can, but until the first half of 2022, most of the collaboration packaging was just a wrapper with the character placed on it. It’s hard to deny that many of these designs were somewhat disappointing.
