In 2020, amidst the excitement of the second energy drink boom, POKKA Sapporo launched the energy drink "Gabunomi Energy" from its Gabunomi series.
Ending the quarter-century run of "Gabunomi Milk Coffee," the company announced a shift towards carbonated beverages, primarily targeting middle and high school boys for product development.
The result was the launch of the energy drink series. Sales figures showed a 114% year-over-year increase in sales, signaling strong performance.
In 2021, they renewed the previously released Gabunomi X Freedom Energy by changing the taste and ingredients. The green "Gabunomi X Freedom Energy" was released, and the non-energy drink main product "Gabunomi Melon Cream Soda" was also renewed. It is expected that the carbonated line will continue to be strengthened, with the energy drink series expanding further in the future.
