In 2001, while living in the United States, I encountered energy drinks through the dance scene and was deeply impressed. After returning to Japan, I found that energy drinks were considered novelty beverages, so I established a comprehensive website in 2013 to share the true appeal of energy drinks. As an energy drink enthusiast, I began drinking them seriously again, collecting over 7,000 varieties of energy drinks from various countries. I am also active as a critic and expert, receiving media interviews.
Flavor of HOT 6 THE KING FORCE
Upon opening the can, a sweet and sour fruity aroma bursts out, though it's hard to pinpoint exactly. The liquid itself is a cloudy white, reminiscent of Monster Energy Zero Ultra. What does it taste like? Let’s find out.
When I take a sip, it's nothing like Zero Ultra. Instead, it has a refreshing sweet-sour taste, similar to white grape, with a subtle bitterness and lasting tartness, like grapefruit.
I had expected a flavor similar to Monster Energy, but it pleasantly surprised me in a good way.
The refreshing sweetness of white grape and the bitter taste of grapefruit provide a crisp and invigorating drinking experience.
The fruit flavor isn’t perfectly replicated, but it successfully highlights the best aspects of both white grape and grapefruit, offering a smooth, easy-to-drink taste without the unpleasantness of artificial sweeteners.
Energy Ingredients of HOT 6 THE KING FORCE
This drink contains 100mg of caffeine, 1000mg of taurine, 10mg of maca, and 10mg of carnitine. While specific amounts aren't listed, it also contains guarana and BCAA, making it a rare energy drink with a wide range of energy ingredients, compared to others on the market.
Although the packaging gives the impression of a sugar-free product, it actually contains 4g of carbohydrates and 1g of sugars, with a total of 19kcal.
Design of HOT 6 THE KING FORCE
The can features a simple white and black color scheme, with a textured, grainy finish on the surface, giving a strong impression of Monster Energy Zero Ultra at first glance.
The common phoenix emblem of the HOT6 series is prominently displayed in a large black silhouette, with the word "KING" appearing larger than the brand name HOT6. The design has a more "chuunibyou" (youthful, edgy) feel compared to earlier HOT6 products.
The can color suggests it’s a zero-calorie product, but in reality, it’s a low-calorie drink.
The back of the can is covered with icons, ingredient lists, and warnings, with the barcode placed at the top of the can—a rare design choice.
