KAMIKAZE ENERGY Creaming Soda (Initial Release Version)
The KAMIKAZE ENERGY Creaming Soda is an energy drink released by the Australian fitness supplement brand "KAMIKAZE" in 2022.
It’s interesting to see that the orange cream flavor, first launched by American fitness energy drinks, has become such a staple in the fitness category that it's now being released in Australia as well.

In 2001, while living in the United States, I encountered energy drinks through the dance scene and was deeply impressed. After returning to Japan, I found that energy drinks were considered novelty beverages, so I established a comprehensive website in 2013 to share the true appeal of energy drinks. As an energy drink enthusiast, I began drinking them seriously again, collecting over 7,000 varieties of energy drinks from various countries. I am also active as a critic and expert, receiving media interviews.
KAMIKAZE ENERGY Creaming Soda (Initial Release Version) Taste
When opening the can, a sweet ice cream scent spreads. The color is a faint rose with an orange tint. Let’s take a sip.
Upon tasting, a sweet ice cream flavor and a mild candy-like sweetness fill the mouth. There is no creamy sweetness to the taste itself; the sweet ice cream flavor comes solely from the aroma.
The soft and mellow sweet scent is distinctive, but there is no overwhelming sweetness that lingers, making it very drinkable. The balanced candy-like tartness pairs well with the sweet ice cream flavor.
While other brands offer a creamier orange cream flavor, KAMIKAZE ENERGY strikes a good balance between creaminess and drinkability, offering a just-right orange cream taste.
KAMIKAZE ENERGY Creaming Soda (Initial Release Version) Energy Components
Contains 160mg of caffeine, 2000mg of taurine, 2000mg of citrulline for pump, 1000mg of beta-alanine for endurance, and 300mg of tyrosine for brain function.
While the caffeine content isn’t as high as other fitness energy drinks, it’s clear that the focus is on incorporating pre-workout supplement ingredients into the energy drink. This drink includes common ingredients for those who regularly consume pre-workout supplements and engage in serious training.
KAMIKAZE ENERGY Creaming Soda (Initial Release Version) Design
The design features a black matte finish with a glossy white KAMIKAZE ENERGY logo that stands out. Behind the logo is the glossy kanji "神風."
This was the initial design for the KAMIKAZE ENERGY release. The backdrop’s "Kamikaze" silhouette serves as a great accent, which I personally really liked.
The flavor name is placed at the bottom of the can, and instead of an orange cream ice candy image, it features a shake-like silhouette, as the flavor name suggests.
The contrast of the white font for the flavor name and the matte black makes it stand out beautifully. This flavor section is one of my favorites across the series.
In 2023, with the addition of new flavors, the initial black matte design was updated, and while the flavor name remained the same, the taste was also altered.
This darker, cooler aesthetic of KAMIKAZE ENERGY felt like they simply adapted the packaging of their powder supplements into an energy drink. After the redesign, the look shifted to a more colorful, simpler, and brighter image. Which design do you prefer?
