This is the KIIVA EXTRA that was renewed in 2020.

When did it get renewed!? After checking the past press releases, it seems that the 350ml KIIVA, which had "STRONG" written on the package like the 500ml version of KIIVA at the time, was being called "EXTRA." This is a bit confusing Σ(´∀｀；)

Now, with the KIIVA common design by Tommy Lim, the product name "EXTRA" has finally been added to the package. Here’s my review of KIIVA EXTRA. The KIIVA series, which includes the 250ml, 350ml, and 500ml versions in red and black, is said to have slightly different flavors.

Upon taking a sip, a faint chemical flavor spreads, followed by a sweet and sour acerola-like taste, creating an artificial chemical flavor.

As of 2022, three sizes of KIIVA (each with slightly different flavors) are available, and among them, KIIVA EXTRA seems to carry the most noticeable connection to the past KIIVA series.

KIIVA EXTRA has a stronger artificial chemical-based stimulation, making it the most recognizable energy drink-like taste among the three current KIIVA sizes.

If you want to enjoy the classic chemical taste that KIIVA is known for, I recommend the 350ml KIIVA EXTRA.

It contains 160mg of caffeine, 437mg of arginine, and 315mg of guarana. The caffeine content is relatively high for a 350ml size in the domestic market.

The design is by Tommy Lim, common to the KIIVA series. The three colors—red, black, and silver—form the design, and this color scheme is the same as the original 500ml KIIVA HYDRATION when it first featured Tommy Lim's design.

The old HYDRATION and the new EXTRA share the same red, black, and silver combination, though it seems not to be an identical match (As of 2022, the KIIVA HYDRATION has been changed to red, black, and white).

I didn't expect the old design of KIIVA to be called "EXTRA" (^_^;)

Although the 350ml can has adopted Tommy Lim's design and now clearly says "EXTRA," it now comes in three similar color schemes for the three sizes.

The original line of KIIVA, consisting of the 250ml MAXIMUM, 350ml EXTRA, and 500ml HYDRATION, all have a similar pink color inside the cans.

They look similar, but the tastes are different, and the ingredient amounts per 100ml also vary.

At this point, it's hard to tell which one is the original KIIVA, right? Σ(´∀｀；) KIIVA has undergone several renewals, and both its taste and design have changed over time, but personally, I think the current KIIVA EXTRA still maintains the most authentic KIIVA flavor.
