In 2001, while living in the United States, I encountered energy drinks through the dance scene and was deeply impressed. After returning to Japan, I found that energy drinks were considered novelty beverages, so I established a comprehensive website in 2013 to share the true appeal of energy drinks. As an energy drink enthusiast, I began drinking them seriously again, collecting over 7,000 varieties of energy drinks from various countries. I am also active as a critic and expert, receiving media interviews.

Refreshing White Grape Aroma with a Slight Energy Drink Flavor

You may not often pour jelly drinks into a glass, but let's check the color of the content anyway. It's the same yellow as the packaging, which could be said to be a typical energy drink color.
KIIVA Speed Charge Jelly
The texture and smoothness unique to jelly drinks, along with the first taste, offers a refreshing muscat-like flavor with a slight hint of the classic energy drink taste.

The taste and aroma are fresh and not overpowering, with a moderate chemical taste that is subtle and makes it quite pleasant.

Though it says "mixed berry flavor," the berry taste is not very noticeable. It has a refreshing flavor typical of jelly drinks, and at 180g, it feels a bit too little. It's so delicious that I couldn't resist reaching for a second one (๑´ڡ`๑).

Drinking it directly from the pouch, as opposed to from a glass, feels like a little luxury, but it also lets you enjoy the right amount slowly and taste it even more deliciously (^_^;). The true joy of jelly drinks is squeezing the pouch and enjoying it that way.

Energy Ingredients of KIIVA Speed Charge Jelly

KIIVA Speed Charge Jelly
Contains 100mg caffeine, 500mg arginine, 100mg royal jelly, 600mg alanine, 400mg valine, and 1000mg citric acid.

With its 180g size, it contains a sufficient amount of caffeine and arginine, as well as amino acids like alanine and valine, which are effective for endurance and fatigue recovery, along with citric acid.

Design of KIIVA Speed Charge Jelly

The KIIVA series' common design is used in the energy jelly as well, carrying Tommy Lim's design. However, it's a bit disappointing that the design has become cluttered and lacks the distinctive KIIVA style.
KIIVA Speed Charge Jelly
It's clear that the variety of energy ingredients in the KIIVA Speed Charge Jelly should be highlighted, but it seems like the true KIIVA style is somewhat lost. The text is packed tightly from top to bottom, which gives a busy impression.

The KIIVA series is known for its simple yet impactful designs, so it's a bit of a waste. That said, if it's too simple, it may not convey what the product is, so striking a balance is challenging...

KIIVA's catchphrase is subtly hidden at the bottom.

Personally, I love jelly drinks to the point that I can't stop once I start eating them, and KIIVA Speed Charge Jelly is one of my favorite products in the entire KIIVA line. It might even be my top pick. I think it would be great if they released a series of limited-edition Speed Charge Jelly in different flavors in the future!

In addition to jelly energy drinks, a canned version of Puru-shu!! Jelly x Sparkling Energy has also been released, so I highly recommend trying the canned jelly energy drinks as well.
