Upon opening, a refreshing minty aroma combined with the citrusy scent of lime fills the air. This scent alone tells me it’s going to be delicious! Let’s take a sip.

As soon as it hits my tongue, a sweet and tangy lime flavor bursts forward, followed by a cool, minty freshness that lingers.

Although the lime flavor is quite strong, making it less of an authentic mojito replica, the balance of lime’s richness and mint’s coolness is absolutely spot-on. It’s so delicious that 250ml just doesn’t feel like enough.

It’s hard to believe that this high-quality energy drink is available as a Lidl private-label product for just 40 yen per can. Many European low-cost energy drinks feature mojito flavors, and they all tend to be impressively well-made. Among them, KONG STRONG Mojito stands out for its perfect harmony of flavor and refreshing sensation—so much so that I’m giving it a top rating of 5.

This mojito flavor has been a long-standing bestseller under Lidl’s branding, even before KONG STRONG existed. If you’re traveling to Czechia or other parts of Eastern Europe, it’s definitely worth checking out.

I happened to pick this up at a Lidl in Czechia, only to realize that it’s actually part of a three-flavor set alongside Cuba Libre and Kamikaze.

That’s right—these three flavors were originally part of Lidl’s private-label energy drink series, "Siti EnerG," before being rebranded under KONG STRONG. The rebranding happened around 2018, and the fact that all three flavors have remained available without interruption suggests they’ve continued to enjoy strong support.

I’m particularly thrilled to have the chance to drink Mojito again in its fresh state. When I previously reviewed "Siti EnerG MOJITO," the drink had aged for several years, resulting in a noticeably degraded aftertaste. This experience reminded me just how important freshness is when enjoying energy drinks.
