KRATINGDAENG Red Bull 25% Less Sugar
The "KRATINGDAENG Red Bull 25% Less Sugar" is a version of the original KRATINGDAENG Red Bull with 25% less sugar. The silver can design gives it a sugar-free appearance, but it still contains 75% of the original sugar, making it an interesting product.

It is available in Malaysia, Brunei, and Singapore. (Currently, Singapore has been removed from the list of selling countries, so it might have been discontinued.)

In 2001, while living in the United States, I encountered energy drinks through the dance scene and was deeply impressed. After returning to Japan, I found that energy drinks were considered novelty beverages, so I established a comprehensive website in 2013 to share the true appeal of energy drinks. As an energy drink enthusiast, I began drinking them seriously again, collecting over 7,000 varieties of energy drinks from various countries. I am also active as a critic and expert, receiving media interviews.

With 25% Less Sugar, KRATINGDAENG Finally Becomes a More Classic Flavor

The aroma is of a typical classic flavor. The bright, vibrant yellow color brings to mind the essence of the original energy drink.

Upon tasting, the sweetness of the classic flavor is noticeably lighter compared to the full-sugar version of 100% full-sugar KRATING DAENG.

That said, with 25% less sugar, the sweetness has finally settled to a level that's comparable to typical classic flavors. It really shows how strong the sweetness of the original full-sugar version was.

Additionally, along with the 25% sugar reduction, the fragrance seems to have been slightly adjusted, and the aftertaste seems to fade more quickly.

As it is non-carbonated, it doesn’t provide the usual refreshing sensation, but if chilled, it offers a more enjoyable classic flavor than the full-sugar version. It can be said that this version is now easier to drink for people in countries outside Southeast Asia.

KRATINGDAENG Red Bull 25% Less Sugar's Energy Ingredients

KRATINGDAENG Red Bull 25% Less Sugar
It contains 50mg of caffeine, 1000mg of taurine, 400mg of glucuronolactone, 50mg of lysine, 50mg of choline, and 50mg of inositol. It’s interesting that amino acids like lysine and choline are included, which aren’t present in European Red Bull.

The sugar content is 30.7g, which is 25% less than the full-sugar version. However, it contains more sugar than the same 250ml size of European Red Bull Σ(´∀`;).

KRATINGDAENG Red Bull 25% Less Sugar's Design

The mirror silver can with blue lines might make it appear like a sugar-free product at first glance.
KRATINGDAENG Red Bull 25% Less Sugar
Just seeing the "25%" could give the impression that this is a light version with only 25% sugar, but in reality, it’s just a 25% reduction, and the sugar content is still on par with typical energy drinks.

These are the KRATINGDAENG Red Bull 25% Less Sugar cans from Singapore and Malaysia.

It was previously available in Singapore, but now it seems to be sold only in Malaysia and Brunei. The 25% sugar reduction may not have been very popular.

The tab is the same red logo tab as the original.

In Southeast Asia, where sweet and high-sugar energy drinks are the standard, this design might look like a sugar-free product. With the reduction in selling countries, it seems clear that the 25% Less Sugar version was not well-received.
