This is a review of the classic-flavored "Kronik VENGENCE" from the Kronik series.

Although the American energy drink brand has already gone bankrupt and no longer exists, I wasn't expecting much before drinking it... but this high-quality classic flavor completely blew me away (*´艸｀*).

Flavor of Kronik VENGENCE

The initial scent was barely noticeable upon opening, and even when poured into a glass, there was a sweet classic aroma, but it wasn't as strong as Monster or Red Bull. At this point, it gave the impression of a relatively mild classic-style fragrance.

The color is a slightly orange-tinged yellow, a typical classic energy drink hue. The green can design seems to be clearly inspired by Monster Original.

Upon tasting, it delivers a sweet classic flavor reminiscent of Monster Original, without the sour notes typical of Red Bull.

It remains sweet and rich throughout, but the Mogu-Mogu texture (smooth and enveloping texture) is kept at a moderate level, making it easier to drink than Monster. I’m honestly surprised at how well-balanced the flavor and aroma are—so much so that I could finish the whole can without getting bored. The richness provides a high sense of satisfaction, yet the mild aroma keeps it from lingering unpleasantly, making it easy to keep sipping naturally.

Although I’ve described it as a classic-style flavor, it’s so similar to Monster Original that it’s almost funny—it's practically a clone! (lol) I’ve tried many classic-style drinks from different countries, but this level of similarity is rare. It feels like a more balanced, cleaner version of Monster in terms of aroma and aftertaste, which probably made Kronik a favorite for many back in the day.

Personally, since I drink rich-flavored energy drinks almost daily, a sweet, classic-style flavor that’s easy to drink and free from off-putting notes is always welcome (●´ω｀●).

It’s rare for me to be impressed by a classic-style energy drink—perhaps only 28BLACK Classic managed that before—but to be moved by something with such a cringe-worthy design is surprising Σ(´∀｀；)

The energy blend contains:
Caffeine 150mg, Taurine 2000mg, Glucosamine 200mg, Glucuronolactone 150mg, Guarana 100mg, Ginseng 100mg, Inositol 50mg, Milk Thistle 50mg, and Ginkgo Biloba 50mg.
The wide variety of ingredients is impressive, and I might be seeing glucosamine in an energy drink for the first time.

Outstanding Flavor Worthy of Competing with Major Brands

The VENGENCE, as well as other Kronik flavors, proves that purely in terms of taste, they could stand toe-to-toe with major energy drink brands. Having tasted classic-style flavors from all over the world, I can say it’s rare to find one with such a high level of completeness and consistent deliciousness.

However, the can design, with its cringe-worthy aesthetic, feels quite dated... (^_^;)

Even Monster Energy, with its famously cringe-worthy branding, succeeded thanks to becoming a global brand and maintaining a long-running, large-scale series. For a later entrant like Kronik, being *this* over-the-top with the design probably made it harder for people to give it a chance, no matter how many flavors they launched.

In terms of flavor quality, Kronik feels close to the hidden gems of American budget energy drinks, like the VENOM series. Had it lasted longer, I think it could have earned a reputation as an underrated brand with a dedicated fanbase.
