Georgia Boost Latte
This is the Latte flavor of the new "Georgia Boost" product from the Georgia canned coffee series, which promotes energy replenishment. Although it doesn't have the energy drink label, I hadn’t considered it until I saw it on sale, so I decided to give it a try.
The official tagline is "NEW Agaru Latte is born," and it is often displayed near energy drinks in convenience stores.

In 2001, while living in the United States, I encountered energy drinks through the dance scene and was deeply impressed. After returning to Japan, I found that energy drinks were considered novelty beverages, so I established a comprehensive website in 2013 to share the true appeal of energy drinks. As an energy drink enthusiast, I began drinking them seriously again, collecting over 7,000 varieties of energy drinks from various countries. I am also active as a critic and expert, receiving media interviews.
Rich, Bitter Coffee Flavor in Latte
Upon opening, the scent is unmistakably that of a classic Japanese canned coffee, with a fragrance different from that of overseas energy coffees.
The taste is a rich, bittersweet coffee flavor, with a subtle sweetness from the milk that makes it easy to drink—a quintessential Japanese canned coffee experience. It's just delicious, as expected.
The richness and umami of the coffee are what make Japanese coffee beverages stand out. Many overseas products are too sweet, which can mask the full flavor of the coffee. While sweet energy coffee drinks from abroad are tasty, for those who want to enjoy the true umami of coffee, Japanese coffee drinks like this are just right.
When it comes to energy coffee, people may have an image of "coffee that tastes like an energy drink" or "carbonated coffee," but Georgia Boost is a classic, well-balanced latte with a slightly bitter and sweet flavor.
There was a time when manufacturers didn’t fully understand energy drinks, and they released some rather bizarre products. But it seems the Japanese market is finally stabilizing now.
Georgia Boost Latte Energy Ingredients
It contains caffeine from coffee, but since there’s no listed amount, it’s recorded as 0mg in our caffeine ranking. Unfortunately... Perhaps there’s around 200mg of caffeine in it. It would be interesting if coffee beverages surpassed regular large-capacity energy drinks in caffeine content.
Additionally, it contains 40 to 72.5mg of arginine, which seems a bit low.
According to Coca-Cola’s research, “One in two energy drink drinkers is also a coffee drinker, especially with a high rate of café latte drinkers.” This led to the creation of Georgia Boost, which adds small amounts of arginine and vitamins. The price is kept at a reasonable 125 yen, and it avoids the usual overpriced energy drink markup, which is a nice touch.
Georgia Boost Latte Design
The simple, well-contrasted coffee color and design are excellent. The Tokyo Olympics logo blends naturally, and the balance of logos and text is overall very well-done.
One slight issue is the rectangular "Energy Replenishment: Caffeine, Vitamin B6, Arginine" box. This section stands out awkwardly, so there might have been some unavoidable reason for keeping it.
Overall, the design is beautiful, the taste was great, and I wish they had labeled it as an energy drink. I would have loved to feature it as the main review.
So, when I happened to find this at a discounted price, about 40 yen off, six months after its release, I decided to keep it as a review of an energy drink-like product.
I hope they add the energy drink label and continue the series with this design. If they do, I’m confident the flavor will remain just as good as this latte.

普通のコーヒーでした。小さい缶コーヒーよりはお得。エナジードリンクらしい味はしません。定価では買わないけど40円なら私も何本かストックしておきたいです。
