LOKI TRICK FIBER SQUASH
An energy drink from Kiva, LOKI TRICK, now in its second release—LOKI TRICK FIBER SQUASH.
After purchasing it, I realized that this isn’t actually an energy drink. I had assumed that LOKI TRICK was an energy drink brand...
That said, since I’ve already bought it and it’s part of the LOKI TRICK lineup, I might as well review it.

In 2001, while living in the United States, I encountered energy drinks through the dance scene and was deeply impressed. After returning to Japan, I found that energy drinks were considered novelty beverages, so I established a comprehensive website in 2013 to share the true appeal of energy drinks. As an energy drink enthusiast, I began drinking them seriously again, collecting over 7,000 varieties of energy drinks from various countries. I am also active as a critic and expert, receiving media interviews.
Flavor of LOKI TRICK FIBER SQUASH
Upon opening, a sweet mango-orange-like aroma fills the air. The color of the drink also matches this fruity impression. Now, let’s take a sip.
The taste is a light and sweet fruit mix candy flavor.
There’s no pulp or tartness, giving it a smooth texture with a gentle sweetness. It’s not overly sugary nor too fruity, which might explain why it has a slight resemblance to vegetable juice.
There’s also a hint of artificial sweetness, so the flavor isn’t exactly like a natural vegetable juice.
Ingredients of LOKI TRICK FIBER SQUASH
It contains zero caffeine, 4.5g of dietary fiber, and 200mg of vitamin C. As illustrated on the can, it includes vegetable juice from carrots, red bell peppers, asparagus, cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower, pumpkin, and spinach.
For adults, the recommended daily intake of dietary fiber is at least 21g for men and 18g for women. Achieving this target through diet alone can be quite challenging. Since consuming enough vegetables for this amount is unrealistic, grains like oatmeal (9g per 100g) or barley (10g per 100g) become primary sources.
From that perspective, being able to get 4.5g of fiber while hydrating makes LOKI TRICK FIBER SQUASH quite a convenient choice.
With low sugar and naturally reduced calories, it’s a guilt-free drink.
Design of LOKI TRICK FIBER SQUASH
The can features colorful illustrations of the vegetables included in LOKI TRICK FIBER SQUASH.
With picture book-like illustrations, it doesn’t really have an energy drink vibe—and as it turns out, this isn’t an energy drink but rather a convenient fiber supplement.
The back of the can features a poetic message, possibly because this product is a spin-off from the original energy drink lineup.
LOKI TRICK is usually sold through vending machines and online, but I found this at Daiso. It’s also available at Mini Stop. If you’re interested, give it a try! Buying by the case brings the per-can price down, making it a great deal.
