In 2001, while living in the United States, I encountered energy drinks through the dance scene and was deeply impressed. After returning to Japan, I found that energy drinks were considered novelty beverages, so I established a comprehensive website in 2013 to share the true appeal of energy drinks. As an energy drink enthusiast, I began drinking them seriously again, collecting over 7,000 varieties of energy drinks from various countries. I am also active as a critic and expert, receiving media interviews.

Simply Delicious. This One's a Repeat.

For my second Powered Coffee, I decided to try the Café au Lait. It has slightly less caffeine compared to the other two flavors.
At first, I imagined it might taste like chai with added spices, but that wasn’t the case at all—it’s exactly as labeled, a café au lait. (Of course.)
It has a pleasant sweetness with a hint of bitterness. It’s smooth, delicious, and has a nice, slightly rich sweetness that makes it easy to drink.
Since it tastes just like a regular café au lait, it’s naturally enjoyable. I could see myself grabbing this when I need a pick-me-up.
At 150 yen, it’s an affordable little indulgence.

If You Need a Boost, Go for the Powered Coffee Series

Compared to ordinary coffee drinks, this series contains noticeably more vitamins and royal jelly, making it a solid choice for an energy boost.
This is actually labeled as the first installment of the series. Does that mean there’s a second one coming?
If so, I’d love to see the caffeine content doubled—at least 160mg—while keeping the price and flavor the same.
Something like "Powered Coffee Strong" would work as a straightforward name. But honestly, "Powered Coffee" already gets the message across pretty well.
Personally, I also like the can design—it fits the concept perfectly.

It might sound like a joke, but why not take it up another notch and release a "Powered Coffee Goddamn Big" in a tall can? That could be fun.
