As soon as I opened the can, I thought, "Huh?" because the aroma smelled surprisingly good. Pouring it out, the color was just the typical yellow energy drink hue. Then, the long-awaited taste of Mad Croc hit me... and it's delicious! (*´∀｀*) It's like Red Bull with a bit of extra tang, making it refreshing and well-balanced. A classic energy drink flavor with no complaints. Yes, you could say it’s a copy, but it works! (；´∀｀)

The aroma, flavor, and ingredients are all great. The caffeine content seems slightly higher than Red Bull’s, and there's also some arginine in it. It really feels like the energy drink era when Mad Croc first launched. Though, Mad Croc is still available in Japan, by the way Σ(´∀｀；)

I remember seeing Red Bull, Monster, and Mad Croc on the shelves at convenience stores, but I wonder why it didn’t sell well. They all had the quintessential energy drink flavor, so it’s a shame.

It’s a real waste that this solid energy drink is disappearing. The low brand recognition of Mad Croc was likely the main reason for its failure. If it had been more popular, we wouldn’t be seeing it vanish so quickly. In Finland, Mad Croc offers several different flavors, and I think it would’ve been nice if they had brought more than just the cola version to Japan. Cola-flavored energy drinks tend to not get as much love!
