This is a review of Espresso MONSTER VANILLA ESPRESSO, a new coffee series from Monster Energy released in 2018.
This is completely different from the previous JAVA Monster series! This one is amazing ((o(´∀`)o))

In 2001, while living in the United States, I encountered energy drinks through the dance scene and was deeply impressed. After returning to Japan, I found that energy drinks were considered novelty beverages, so I established a comprehensive website in 2013 to share the true appeal of energy drinks. As an energy drink enthusiast, I began drinking them seriously again, collecting over 7,000 varieties of energy drinks from various countries. I am also active as a critic and expert, receiving media interviews.
Flavor of Espresso MONSTER VANILLA ESPRESSO
Upon opening, it has the usual sweet coffee aroma like the JAVA Monster. The color is also the typical coffee milk shade, so it feels like it's going to be sweet as expected...
But when I tasted it, I was surprised! It has a great balance of the coffee's bitterness and creamy sweetness, making it a coffee flavor that is very much suited for Japanese tastes.
Coffee Monster in Japan also had a less sweet, delicious bitterness, but the Vanilla Espresso, being part of the coffee series available in the U.S., has a rich, creamy texture that provides a luxurious flavor. This makes it much more satisfying than Coffee Monster.
You can truly enjoy the distinct coffee flavor. It's a premium taste compared to the usual sweet Monster Energy coffee series, and I was impressed by its bitterness, which could easily be introduced as a coffee flavor in Japan (*´ェ`*)
Energy Ingredients of Espresso MONSTER VANILLA ESPRESSO
It contains 150mg of caffeine and taurine, though the exact amount of taurine is unknown. Other than that, the usual Monster Energy blend is not included. The energy ingredients are almost just like those in regular coffee.
Shift to Dutch Imports
It seems that the JAVA Monster series has shifted to being imported from the Netherlands.
For a few years now, Dutch-made products have quietly entered the U.S. market under the JAVA Monster brand, but with Espresso MONSTER, the "IMPORTED" label shines brightly, almost as if the importation itself is a selling point.
The image of "VANILLA ESPRESSO" is subtly depicted, giving it a sophisticated vibe.
The design of the Espresso MONSTER series is superb, completely different from the JAVA series. Has there ever been a coffee design with this much atmosphere? The design of the regular JAVA series now seems so flat in comparison.
Espresso MONSTER features a subtly textured surface, giving it a luxurious feel. The combination of dark brown rough texture and glittering gold is stunning. The mini 250ml size also adds to its premium feel.
The gold top and black euro tab make it a truly luxurious can.
