This is a review of JAVA MONSTER LOCA MOCA, one of the main flavors in the Monster Energy Coffee Energy Series, JAVA MONSTER. It is one of the long-selling products in the series.

Along with JAVA MONSTER MEAN BEAN, JAVA MONSTER LOCA MOCA is one of the two main flavors in the JAVA MONSTER lineup. What sets LOCA MOCA apart is that it not only has sweetness but also retains a slight coffee flavor.

The moment you open the can, the scent is sweet, but compared to other JAVA MONSTER series, you can still enjoy a bit of coffee aroma (；´∀｀).

Just like the scent, the taste also has a coffee-like flavor that doesn't get overwhelmed by the sweetness. However, the sweetness is still quite strong, so it doesn't disappoint (-_-;).
Also, there's a slight powdery feeling in the liquid. To put it positively, it’s creamy! It lingers in your mouth for a moment, so it’s a bit noticeable (lol).

This can be said for all the JAVA MONSTER flavors, but don’t expect too much coffee taste from them. Among them, LOCA MOCA is probably the closest to a coffee flavor (though still quite far from it).

Since it’s designed for the American market, I guess it’s necessary to keep this level of sweetness to make it taste good.

You can drink it like a sweet café au lait, so I think LOCA MOCA is right on the borderline of being acceptable to keep stocked in Japan.
It’s a taste that makes you want to eat it with not-too-sweet chocolate chip cookies, and if I had to recommend one JAVA MONSTER flavor, LOCA MOCA would be the most decent.
