It is said to be a product created to compete with Starbucks Triple Shot Energy, which was released in the USA in 2019.

Upon tasting, the sweetness of the milk is mild, and you can enjoy the richness and umami of the coffee and cocoa, which is similar to Japanese coffee milk.

This isn’t just the usual JAVA MONSTER series with 300mg of caffeine; as the name "TRIPLE SHOT" suggests, it offers a coffee-like flavor that I’m personally happy about.

On the back, there is a mention of robusta coffee, known for its strong bitterness, so this should offer a different taste compared to the usual sweet coffee energy drinks.

There isn’t too much sugar, but due to the milk’s fat content, the total calories are fairly standard.

The entire can design is inspired by a burlap sack filled with coffee beans. The large "300" on top of the Monster Energy logo makes it clear that it contains 300mg of caffeine, a simple yet effective design that everyone can easily associate with the product.

The can itself doesn’t have a texture that evokes the feeling of a burlap sack; it’s just a regular smooth can, so it doesn’t feel particularly high-end or impactful.

Release Timing and Old vs. New Design

JAVA MONSTER TRIPLE SHOT MOCHA was released in 2020, during the explosive spread of COVID-19 when the world was shutting down.

I was still in the USA until Japan was about to close its borders, but I wasn’t able to get my hands on the TRIPLE SHOT series at the time because it was released after spring.

It’s been about three years since its release, and I thought the old design would be gone by now, so I was really excited to find it. Hunting in the local stores is the best!!
