JUICE MONSTER KHAOS

Posted on May 12, 2015 | Last updated February 13, 2025

JUICE MONSTER KHAOS
In 2014, the fruity "JUICE MONSTER" series was born, incorporating fruit juice. The "MONSTER ENERGY KHAOS," which was previously not part of any series, was revamped and released as "JUICE MONSTER KHAOS."

In 2001, while living in the United States, I encountered energy drinks through the dance scene and was deeply impressed. After returning to Japan, I found that energy drinks were considered novelty beverages, so I established a comprehensive website in 2013 to share the true appeal of energy drinks. As an energy drink enthusiast, I began drinking them seriously again, collecting over 7,000 varieties of energy drinks from various countries. I am also active as a critic and expert, receiving media interviews.

Flavor of JUICE MONSTER KHAOS

Compared to the past high-fruit content, the 30% fruit juice in Khaos feels a bit less. However, once you open the can, the unique mandarin orange scent of Khaos immediately fills the air.

JUICE MONSTER KHAOS
The flavor is rich with mandarin orange, and the unique depth and taste of Khaos spread out. The first impression upon taking a sip is simply "so delicious," and that's the only thing that matters, haha. The sweet, high-sugar taste of mandarin is, of course, there, and there's also a slight tartness, making for a rich and satisfying flavor that doesn’t feel like it’s only 30% fruit juice (u_u*).

By the way, if you're used to drinking the Japanese Khaos, you'll immediately notice the difference when drinking Juice Monster Khaos. It's not just the juice concentration; the taste itself is completely different. Juice Monster has absolutely no off-flavors, and you can truly taste the deliciousness of mandarin and orange. As an energy drink fan, I found Juice Monster to be tastier, and I feel like it would be more easily accepted by the general public.

Differences Between Old KHAOS and JUICE MONSTER KHAOS

Both the Japanese and the old American Khaos have a rich sweetness with a slight bitterness, but Juice Monster Khaos feels much fresher, as if the heaviness has been removed. You can really tell the difference after holding it in your mouth for about 1–2 seconds. If you get a chance to try Juice Monster Khaos, I recommend buying a few cans and comparing them to the Japanese 50% Khaos. If you're someone who regularly drinks the Japanese Khaos, you'll notice the difference right away.

By the way, comparing the new and old versions, I would even say that they’re like completely different Khaos drinks. The lack of off-flavors and the pure mandarin flavor in Juice Monster Khaos was such a surprise.

Energy Ingredients of JUICE MONSTER KHAOS

It contains 154mg of caffeine, taurine, ginseng, guarana, carnitine, and other Monster Energy blend ingredients. This part remains mostly unchanged.

JUICE MONSTER KHAOS
As for the contents, with 30% fruit juice, the main ingredients are apple, orange, peach, ponkan (a type of mandarin), pineapple, and white grape.

There is a lot of sugar, but compared to other energy drinks, it's a bit more restrained, and the flavor is really driven by the fruit juices and flavorings.

Design of JUICE MONSTER KHAOS

JUICE MONSTER KHAOS
The unique pattern of the Juice Monster series is displayed. The can is entirely orange, making it feel somewhat monotonous, but I don’t dislike it, especially with the rough texture and the design on the side of the can.

JUICE MONSTER KHAOS
If I had to choose between this version and the old one, I'd say the old one was more in line with the Monster Energy vibe, haha.
